    Compare the capacity of an NBA roster to an NFL roster, and then think about the expenses that come with being in a brutal contact sport like the NFL in comparison to the NBA. I don't think it's surprising the NFL hasn't had a billionaire athlete up until this point.

    • @OtKH00
      @OtKH00 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasonallen3678 I think though the NBA also just has an easier time marketing the players because the play styles are more apparent to the average viewer. The only players in the NFL that the average viewer can tell the play styles apart from one another is really with the QB position and that is really only with knowing if they're mobile or not. So much of the NFL is about making smart intuitive reads that if you're not an NFL player who dedicated their life to understanding the game, your average viewer is not going to notice. However it doesn't take a genius to understand that Steph Curry can drop dimes, Nikola Jokic's passes are magical, or Michael Jordan could jump hella high. Plus with Basketball shoes just being a popular commodity the endorsement deals write themselves.

    There is a reason NBA/PGA have produced billionaire players unlike the NFL. MJ, LeBron and Tiger are GLOBAL sports icons with endorsements deals internationally + modern era super stars in the NBA get paid more than even the best paid QB's in the NFL. NFL players are nobodies outside the US, only known by fans from an internationally niche sport. Brady is probably even also more known as the ex of Gisele than as an athlete himself, similar to Russ with Ciara. The only reason they even manage to make this amount of money, is because the US being as big and rich as it is.
