    • @namgrass_artificialgrass
      @namgrass_artificialgrass  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, of course not a problem! The sand makes it more hard wearing, in some specific high traffic areas (with playing children f.ex.) this is necessary to keep the grass in perfect shape and upright.

  • @MrDingle1987
    @MrDingle1987 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have a rough depth of between 25 and 40mm, do I need to use type 1 granite or would granite dust be ok? Also do you always need to use sand as top layer? would it depend on the grass weight?

    • @namgrass_artificialgrass
      @namgrass_artificialgrass  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Granite dust is ok, but make sure it's sufficiently leveled. What do you mean by sand as top layer? The sand infill after the grass is placed? Then yes this depends on the type of grass used. Not so much the weight but the density will determine the amount of sand needed.

My yard has a one meter drop over 20 meters for its slope, so I am wondering if it is better to skip adding the sand at the last step and just use more nails to pin the grass to the ground? or is the sand also to maintain moisture from morning dew to help with afternoon high heat? Thank you

    How utterly vile. Why would anyone want a plastic back garden? Lawns / meadow lawns / moss / lichen can provide vital habitats for insects and animals which are so important to the ecosystem. THINK about what YOU can do to protect our wildlife and LEARN about the joy of gardening. EDUCATE yourselves into the harm you are doing. This is so completely awful and depressing.

      Hi James, there are endless possibilities where artificial grass can offer a solution, just think of a city garden where the passage of a lawn mower is not obvious, or for example an area where natural grass just doesn't thrive/a terrace. With regard to the environment in general and insects more specific, we are taking important steps, for example, we are fighting against deforestation and plant 1 tree per working day! We also encourage homeowners who want to install artificial grass to include flowers, trees and plants in their design as well... Remember with artificial grass you don't have to waste precious water and you don't emit harmful gases from the lawn mower. So if we can keep the production/delivery process clean and efficient this is definitely worth thinking about it.

      @@namgrass_artificialgrass No, there are ZERO possibilities where artificial grass can offer a solution which is better than the incalculable benefits of various natural cultivation. You 'plant a tree' for a whole day of decimation of natural habitats?? Seriously?? You are deluded.
      The sort of customer who are clients of yours have monochrome interiors, see-through clocks, flush wet wipes down the toilet and have sanitised their environments to such an extent that their kids have multiple allergies for life. They are not remotely interested in having any kind of 'dirt' in their outside spaces.
      Your incredibly lame argument about lawnmowers is not a factor as anyone with a decent small garden would have a small electric mower mostly running on wind and solar power these days. A huge and desperate argument fail on your behalf I'm afraid.
      'With artificial grass you don't have to waste precious water'? Ok then, lets just turn the whole world plastic so we don't have to 'waste' a drop of water again eh?
      Your utter misunderstanding of the natural world is highly damaging and frankly disgraceful.

      We never use staples on the seam, which could harm the overall joint. We secured the grass onto the soil, but we didn't film this. There are a lot of types of soil that could be appropriate and they all require a different approach to fixate (nails, screws, glue,...).
