Good to hear, artificial grass will be a smart green solution. Mowing, watering, killing weeds, manuring your soil - all of this will be a thing of the past!
It all depends on the situation, if it's pretty much square then it will take 2-3 hours max. If there are curves, borders, plants, trees,... then it's more difficult and it could take up to 5 hours to do so.
Hi Arun, our grasses are specially developed to let water through. You just have to make sure that your subbase is water absorbing. And yes we use nails or screws in the corners + every meter to fixate.
Yes you can, but the chance of sagging is slightly bigger - the general rule for any subbase with artificial grass: the subsoil has to be levelled and has to be water absorbing.
Hi, if you don't mind me asking, why do you put sand after finishing the work, and what does brushing it away do to the grass...like what's the purpose of it??
Hi, of course not a problem! The sand makes it more hard wearing, in some specific high traffic areas (with playing children f.ex.) this is necessary to keep the grass in perfect shape and upright.
I have a rough depth of between 25 and 40mm, do I need to use type 1 granite or would granite dust be ok? Also do you always need to use sand as top layer? would it depend on the grass weight?
Granite dust is ok, but make sure it's sufficiently leveled. What do you mean by sand as top layer? The sand infill after the grass is placed? Then yes this depends on the type of grass used. Not so much the weight but the density will determine the amount of sand needed.
I am getting Synthetic grass installed on my front lawn they already ripped out all the grass. I am excited never have to mow the loan or water the grass and always stays green.

Hi James, the grass can absorp the water via drainage holes who are inserted in the backing. So if you haven't got issues with the water now, then you will not have problems when installing artificial grass either.
This is possible! You just have to consider the transition between one or more different materials used. We advise using an edging system when required f.ex. to transition from artificial grass to decking or stone.
Hi, I have a a 500 square meter yard. My question, will the sand placed on top of the grass be washed down the slope during heavy rain falls? My yard has a one meter drop over 20 meters for its slope, so I am wondering if it is better to skip adding the sand at the last step and just use more nails to pin the grass to the ground? or is the sand also to maintain moisture from morning dew to help with afternoon high heat? Thank you
In this case, I would definitely skip the sand infill and use other ways to fixate. Depending on the subsoil you could use the following: nails, screws, hooks,...
Do you use adhesive and the tape to keep it down? I plan on doing this on my balcony and its not concrete nor wood but its solid. Thanks@@namgrass_artificialgrass

Hi James, there are endless possibilities where artificial grass can offer a solution, just think of a city garden where the passage of a lawn mower is not obvious, or for example an area where natural grass just doesn't thrive/a terrace. With regard to the environment in general and insects more specific, we are taking important steps, for example, we are fighting against deforestation and plant 1 tree per working day! It's a weed membrane or geotextile to prevent weeds coming through. It's safe to play on of course.
