    I can proudly say butter cured my stress and tiredness. I’m not even on a keto diet, I just switched all my fats out with organic butter (preferably ghee when I can afford it). It’s weird, but worked like magic.

    When I moved to the US, the doctor told me to cut the whole milk, have skim milk, and cut butter and use butter substitutes. In two years from following the doctors advice I ended up with acid reflux, and elevated cholesterol, and those were just the start. Came to the US healthy, followed so called doctors advise to the letter, strictly, and screwed up my body.

Every muscle is getting bigger, stronger and leaner while burning the small amount of belly fat that I have. I'm a firm believer that fasting is gonna be the worlds solution to obesity and dramatically dropping the chances of getting many forms of cancer.

    it is interesting now with current You Tube videos how the food items have changed from bad to good. Sodium used to be really bad for us, now it is good to have. Butter was bad for us, now it is good to use. Coffee I felt was bad for us, now there are some benefits from it.
    Note: I never was a coffee drinker anyway and I don't smoke or drink alcohol.
    So I am amazed what foods we can eat on these diets just by cutting out Breads, Sugar items and which diet we follow, Keto, or Protein, or a mix of both. Learning more everyday and started my serious quest for lower my weight mid March of this year. i am at 197 pounds right now and my first starting goal is to get below 190. I was 206 pounds in March. i also do some daily exercising. Thanks for your videos.

    Video topic idea - Say you're at your ideal weight from doing keto and IF successfully, so you just want to maintain your weight. Also say you have a really active job where you're on your feet or lifting boxes or just having to use your whole body to do work all day (as opposed to sitting at a desk all day, which has it's own health challenges). I have two part time jobs, one at a desk and one as a massage therapist, that I work each every other day. Since I've been doing this for a couple years my body is keyed in really well to keto and IF and I adhere to the philosophy of eating when I'm hungry. So on my massage days I usually eat my 1-2 meals for that day in the morning before work, and since I work into the evening I usually am not hungry, so sometimes I'll eat before bed and sometimes I fast through the night if I want a longer fasting day. But I'm working doing the more full body strenuous work in a fasted state - I'm not hungry and nor do I eat all through my shift, and I feel really fine because I get my calories and well-rounded nutrition when I do eat. I know I should probably do some other kind of exercise or bodybuilding for those benefits I've heard you talk so much about, but at this time my job is my workout for the week. So what do think the best way to time eating and fasting if your job is like a workout, and your job is your main source of exercise? And what foods do you think are best to have before and after a long day of "working out" on the job? Thanks for the consideration and all the great content, and hope to see this addressed in a future video!

    Also Morley Robbins talked about butter being better than coconut oil. Mainly because of the retinol content in butter. He recommends getting lots of retinol daily. From a high fat diet we only get so many calories a day. To get the 9000 mcg retinol daily without supplementing CLO we pretty much need to get all our fat calories from quality animal fats. Especially grass fed butter.

      Do you really want your doctors to stop learning from the medical literature, and start learning from TH-camrs? The illusion of knowledge is worse than ignorance - you don't even know how much you don't know.

      @@generalfishcake I never said they should stop learning from medical literature. But as we've ALL learned, and has been proven, books aren't the ONLY form of knowledge, or education there is. LIFE, and Life Experiences are a pretty good source as well; not to mention that books can be outdated with some of their info. A perfect example is the "classic" food guide that recommends something like a diet that contains 65 - 70 % carbs including 7 - 10 servings of whole grains every day, and low amounts of fat. Which is the basis of a lot of the obesity, and Type 2 Diabetes out there.
      All I'm saying us a lot of Doctors/Nutrition "experts" shouldn't be afraid of different methods of educating themselves. Especially when things are backed by science & research.

    I'm using butter for one of my two daily meals. Food tastes so much better, I don't feel heavy after eating, even tho that meal is: 2-3 whole eggs, chicken/fish/pork/beef, garlic some few potatoes and a good piece of good quality butter. It gives me tons of energy and I have been loosing weight. Plus, who doesn't like eating such things everyday? Also it's super simple and quick to make

    I'm undertaking a journey to improve my health. I've noticed anecdotal cases cited to make a case for/against increased butter usage. Genetics play a huge role in health outcomes, so a person engaging in unhealthy habits may live a long and healthy life. Example, my dad is 81 y/o and smoked for 6+ decades. Doctors removed a benign tumor from his lungs in 2020. He had a stroke and fully recovered when he was in his 60s. Every day before sun up, he's tending to his garden. Can I expect similar outcomes if I do similar things? Nope. Still, videos like this help me a bit more each day. Take care everyone. 🙃
    P.S. I understand 🚬 and 🧈 usage aren't perfect parallels. 😁

    Super interesting video! Learned a LOT! Would love to see a video about why margarine is bad (been trying to warn people for years). Look up studies done in Australia a few decades ago linking the first generation to have margarine all their life to early macular degeneration. I'm sure there are more recent studies too... but that's the only one I know about.

    Actually the fat the clogs arteries is all unsaturated fats. (Lancet 1994 344:1195) researchers doing autopsies to find the material composition of arterial clogs found the average was about 74% unsaturated fat 41% polyunsaturated fats. And saturated fats seemed to have no impact on heart disease.

  • @mikekumaus4098
    @mikekumaus4098 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would also add that the benefit of eating grass fed butter, or any kind of quality dairy and cheese is that the long chain fatty acids like the saturated fat Palmitic acid stimulate the production of glucagon and inhibit fatty acid synthesis and de novo lipogenesis that are driven by insulin and citrate, and downstream fats which are desaturated substrates of those long chain saturated fats, like the monounsaturated Palmitoleic acid actually stimulate lipolysis...
    In other words, eating saturated fat makes you produce enzymes that break down fat and keeps you from producing the enzymes used for making and storing fat. Eating carbohydrates, primarily fructose, but also excess glucose, makes the body do the opposite; it stops the fat burning enzyme production and triggers the fat creation and storage enzymes.
