Thank you! My Rupes 21 had this issue where it would not turn on anymore after a long time in storage. Just stop turning on after. It’s just been an heavy paper weight before I found this video! I bought the part and installed it my self and it fixed it! Really happy I didn’t decided to just throw it away. Tho I would say… it only been used 5x times SOO for it to fail that early is pretty bad in my opinion but I’m still happy it works again
My lhr15 ended up just being the crimp connection between the cord and electronics. Was bummed when it quit working cause I’ve only used it a couple times since new. Thanks for the video!
The cheap condensator 2:38 min is bulged and blown. You can replace it, it's a 50 ct part, very bad from rupes to use cheap ....... 1000 micro F / 10V.
@@gorarestakesyan7211 Yes everything is working again. You have to dig out the condensator from the top. They fixed it with epoxy. On the board you get to the connectors and I soldered a short wire from the board to the new condensator.
Hello, I have a problem, where the machine always runs at high speed, was probably damaged during shipping. When googleing I found out, that the problem is probably that the speed module does not recognize motor's magnetic field. Can replacing this condensator fix my issue as well? Thanks!
@@tilenpodobnik641 If you have the ability to do some fine soldering, what do you have to lose? You should see it with your eyes if the condensator is broken. Mine was bulged and some green liquid was coming out.
Love your videos. I have a question though. I bought a harbor freight PT buffer 6 speed back in 2015. It’s still in its box never used. I pulled it out and plugged it in starting on 1 and as I raise the numbers it slows down instead of pick up. By the time I hit 4 it stops moving and is straining. Almost like something is reversed. I know it’s a cheap buffer but I’m curious to know what you think
Hi do you have a video on how to test the module with a multimeter. ? I have the mk2 lhr15 only used it once did a small job with it and after that was in storage over one year and now doesn’t work. Every thing is still brand new just want to test before buying new parts. Thanks

Hello, just found this vide. My Bigfoot 21 was in storage for a few years and just tried to use it and won't turn on.... checked the carbon brushes and they seemed fine but bought new ones anyway, still didn't work so I changed the main power cable as well and still didn't work.... it kind of spun ever so slowly even on speed 6 like a few turns then stopped again. Do you think it's the speed controller module at fault? I'm good with my hands so don't really want to send it in for repair since it's an old machine. Thanks in advance for your help. Thank you

What was the symptoms of this? I have an lhr15 that isn’t working. It’s making a humming noise when pressing the trigger.
Yep, thats it, given your brushes are still good.
To check them you need to open up the device anyways.

the potentiometer is broken, it's electronics, you have to replace it as in the video
