I want a DISCO. He’s really got the character . I just love him. He’s just so laid back. Not much if anything bothers him. He adapts much better then most people I know.

Johnny, I think that some people can be miserable in a mansion and others can be happy in a tent. Chrome and Disco are proof that it is our homes are what WE make them. With the right energy, love and enthusiasm for life, even a tent can be a awesome home! It's all about YOU and what you decide to fill your home with!

Ray Picard Right? Everyone says to use the spray. I am also in the Pacific Northwest and make sure it’s a dry, warm(ish) day here before trying to paint or adhere things to my van walls. Congrats on the van!
💕 Hi Chrome, the ceiling looks amazing! My next plan was to try something like what you used to adhere the panels. My living area in my van is 14 feet from behind the front seats to the back door.

That foil heat tape is EXCELLENT stuff for projects like this! Wow, CA taxes are nuts. That same roll costs less than $10 in New Hampshire, USA. But we do not have any sort of sales tax.

A Pastor friend of mine says..sometimes in life ....you have to give up to go up...meaning even if you will give up a big house, expensive cars, large salary and prestige (what your doing) you can change to something that will be much better! A quick tip to help keep you warm while sleeping. Place 2-3 blankets (from thrift store is fine) Under your mattress... they sell tie-down straps for fitted sheets that should help hold the blankets in place. I've done this for yrs and it really works. Also 2 blankets under your fitted sheet will help greatly. Also to help your feet feel warmer...get those square floor pieces (sorry I don't know the name of them) ... the ones that fit together like a puzzle. V L Wouldn't one of those thin 1/2" insulating pads we used for backpacking back in the 1970s work under the mattress? I'm thinking of a single or twin size bed. I like the idea of using fitted sheets to keep your insulating blankets in place.
Your insulation job looks pretty good, Chrome. I am quite thankful that my son's have offered to help me with my own van build, and that they have done them before...of which I never knew...but sure do, now....lol We weirdos missed you and Disco, too, and am glad to see that you have been doing what you do best.....bringin' the music to the masses..at them parties. My grandsons got a new puppy dog, an early Christmas surprise....a beagle named Todd....lol...and his coloring is quite similar to Disco's. Hi... Well, I think the second layer looking inside, is the best you can do because it reflects heat from the inside to the inside... but it could be that the first layer should be looking to the outside towards the metal... most of all for those who travel to hot places, because it reflects the heat right on the metal to the outside... that material has the property of reflecting infrared waves... so the inner layer protects you from losing heat to the outside and the upper part reflects heat to the outside... and the middle materia lets you have several degrees difference on the two sides, internal and external... very, very good idea... let's say it's cool...

I was hoping to see you put two layers of 1/2 in foam board. One with silver side up, and 2nd layer with silver side down. We have the same looking roofs, you and me! I used the same metal tape for all the seams and edges! Good job bro!

Thx. Like the idea of u updating after a few days real word test.. ie objective temp inside/ outside. If a cold snap - may want another layer. or 2.. & push in place panels for all Windows.. & heavy curtain behind Driver/pssgr seats to kind of seal off that area (hi glass/doors/openings)?? Look fwd
Van is coming a long great have you ever thought about putting wood paneling the fake wood material up on the walls and the ceiling to kind a help trap in that insulation

I’m with you on the spray glue. I am in Victoria, and the same problem...foam boards came right off after a few days...still need to fix it lol
