Its funny how small things like coffee and a bagel can mean so much to one. I think its awesome you still find small ways to treat yourself. express yourself, and connect. Dont ever lose that ability. It might get harder as you get more recognizable, but its those small acts that keep your feet on the ground and keep you heading towards your goals. You can do it.

Honesty down to the bone is appreciated. Laying it all out there which I don't see on the other videos. I am fortunate to have a $800 house+taxes+insurance for 3 bedrooms to house my family of 6 including myself.
I've lived in a travel trailer in a senior park for the past 3.5 years that is rent controlled. My total for lot rent, electric, gas, water and trash pick-up was $425 this month. I live 2.5 miles from the beach in California. This is another alternative for people.

Living a life that makes you wake up with a smile on your face every morning is worth every penny you spend. Some people pay $1500 a month just on rent!!! Vancover is an expensive city to live in so your basic costs are very reasonable. If your every in the Ottawa area let me know... I would be happy to pick up the tab for your breakfast. Really enjoying how you share your journey. I think there is one aspect you forgot to mention: How much were you spending on groceries, restaurants, etc. when you were still in the condo? Also, you would be spending a certain amount on gas to/from gigs. Overall, I think there might be even more upside for you. house payment 1100, utlities 350 aveage, insurances 700 (medical, and vehicles), food 300(month), gas 350, i guessing 3k a month after irs all said and done,, not easy

I unsubbed from the "other two" BC tubers because I thought their thinking and lifestyle was offensive and gave a warped impression to International visitors of our Canadian men. Your honesty about your hold over debt is a real Canadian reality due to our very high taxes and price of goods - thanks for including it in your snapshot of financial reality. At 63 I just bought a renovated 1975 Trillium 13' trailer and will have done three shakedown trips to hosts at Boondockers Welcome (fabulous). Next summer east coast...fall West coast. Enjoying the ride with you and disco- thanks for sharing with us! 👍
Hey man, nice videos, wonderful outlook on life. I am setting up my truck bed for a camper setup not really to live in but could be lived in and the one thing i am having done before I insulate the topper is have it Line-X'd. My hope is that this will help with thermal insulation and with sound deadening, this can be done in white so your interior will not fee do dark and cave like. Cheers man, keep it up.
Line-x will help not only with the interior but the exterior to resist dents and dings, the stuff is damn near armor platting in rubberized form. It is thin too so it will not take up to much space, the the issue with most insulation it is about air space/ void, which in turn means less space for you and Disco. Which I know he will not mind much but for you every inch counts in Van livin'. Another issue you are going to have to address is moisture, on that I suggest getting Ventshades, not only will it allow you to vent the van for Disco even in the rain, it will do it with out compromising security, stealth or having to drill into the body of the van like a roof vent would.

I honestly wanna give you props as when I got together to my now husband who lived in a Winnebego . I was so against this lifestlyle but as I've gotten older & my heatlh has gotten worse. I truly appreciate that lifestyle & am ready to travel with no ties
New subscriber. I have been thinking about which direction I wanted to go. Van, cargo conversion, rv, bus conversion etc.. I ran across you in my research. It was your video of the van build in one day, well morning actually, lol, but it took about 2 minutes and I loved your attitude! Saw your expense video and decided I wanted to see more. You and Disco keep on doing what you do that makes you happen. Much respect to you Sir for doing what you had to do in order to find the peace and freedom every hard working man should have. I completely agree...some things like morning bagel & coffee are necessities!!!...the social aspect, completely understand, we have a place her where I live called Golden Bagel, it has the nicest morning regular crowd and it's definitely a healthy social routine for many who go there. Beer...its never going away, I'll eat ramen in exchange for a nice cold craft beer in pub any day. Another Great Vid !!!!
I love the spirit of your videos! Do you budget for things such as laundry, water ( for hand washing/cleaning) and normal PM on the van? Also, have you invested in some sort of makeshift emergency commode? It would totally blow to have to get up and drive just to use the facilities. ( yes, you do have a advantage over us women since all you have to do is crack the van door, aim and shoot😜) where did you find the tint for those windows? You mentioned that it was limo tint, Amazon? Keep on rockin it!!

If all of your wealth building tool is taken by payments, you have no wealth building tool. Get out of debt and stay out.Then put back(save) and invest so the next van you buy....YOU PURCHASE, not start making payments on! You can do it. I work with people all day long that I see do it.

Another issue you are going to have to address is moisture, on that I suggest getting Ventshades, not only will it allow you to vent the van for Disco even in the rain, it will do it with out compromising security, stealth or having to drill into the body of the van like a roof vent would.

I honestly wanna give you props as when I got together to my now husband who lived in a Winnebego . I was so against this lifestlyle but as I've gotten older & my heatlh has gotten worse. I truly appreciate that lifestyle & am ready to travel with no ties

I completely agree...some things like morning bagel & coffee are necessities!!!...the social aspect, completely understand, we have a place her where I live called Golden Bagel, it has the nicest morning regular crowd and it's definitely a healthy social routine for many who go there. Beer...its never going away, I'll eat ramen in exchange for a nice cold craft beer in pub any day. Another Great Vid !!!!

Do you budget for things such as laundry, water ( for hand washing/cleaning) and normal PM on the van?
Also, have you invested in some sort of makeshift emergency commode? It would totally blow to have to get up and drive just to use the facilities. ( yes, you do have a advantage over us women since all you have to do is crack the van door, aim and shoot😜) where did you find the tint for those windows? You mentioned that it was limo tint, Amazon?

Chrome....just found your channel. And watched your vid on cost per month. Your assumptions are correct. Your wealth building tool is the hours you are willing to give up to earn money. If all of your wealth building tool is taken by payments, you have no wealth building tool. Get out of debt and stay out.Then put back(save) and invest so the next van you buy....YOU PURCHASE, not start making payments on! You can do it. I work with people all day long that I see do it.
