      Glad you enjoyed it, Nick. St. Save was lovely... especially the intricate tile work. Meals... yea.. I can always eat a good meal :)

    What a great experience passing the King Decebalus carving. Wow that was a big sword lol. The church with all the domes, very impressive. Love that the menus follow the local cuisine. Another great episode.

      Thank you :) I love cruising the Danube (to be fair, only done it 2x), so much history along nearly every turn.

    Oh I do enjoy these videos Bob. Golubac Fortress is some wonderful architecture and so beautifully lit at night. And St Sava church - wow! It reminds me of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul - absolutely beautiful!

      Hi Stephanie, thank you for watching! As ever, I appreciate you stopping by to make comments as well.
      Do you have one up on me, I’ve never been to Istanbul but that would be lovely, too.
      The night tour at Golubac was fun☺️
      Thank you again for watching!

    I never knew Serbia was so beautiful. From the river to the castle, to the fortress and the church. They are uniquely beautiful in there own way. Thanks for the tour

    Loved watching the lock transit, I wasn’t sure if there would be any on this stretch of the Danube. I can’t wait to see the Iron Gates later this year. Thanks for sharing this

      Thank you, Laura! I know you are indeed on a river cruise this year.... it'll be nice to see your experience on a different line- looking forward to that video :)

    Very nice video, Bob, really like the Saint Savar church, absolutely beautiful. We are just back from our Oceania Southern Caribbean cruise and catching up since our wifi was pretty weak on the ship and could not see any videos.

      @@InnocentsAbroad It was really nice although we were not allowed to call three of our 7 ports due to a few cases on board. We did get two full days of Open Bar on New Years Eve day and New Years Day to make up for it. The food was exceptional and we did 10 of the 12 nights in the include specialty restaurants and they were all fantastic. We did have about 1050 passengers on a 1250 capacity ship which surprised me a bit, but, I guess that Christmas and New Years cruises are fairly popular. Never had a line or had to wait on anything, though. All in all, it was a very nice cruise and I booked future cruise certificate since I am booked in 2022 and 2023 and can't do Oceania again until 2024.

    I loved going through the locks, Panama Canal was one of my favourite cruises! A night tour how cool! I am however scared of Bob and the sword 😉 It is so nice to try the local cuisine on board.

    Was that snow or rain when you were top deck going through the lock? What an experience and seeing King Decebalus mountain carving. Amazing to see the history of all the places you are visiting and what it looks like today. You had said there were 66 passengers, how many does it normally have at full capacity?

    • @InnocentsAbroad
      @InnocentsAbroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was rain. 190 is the ship capacity.... there was lots of room! Ty for watching :)

    Why would they not let you sit in the chairs on the top deck??

    • @InnocentsAbroad
      @InnocentsAbroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The chairs, if you are referring to the locks' transit- were stacked from the night before. No one was prevented in using one, but tbh- no one would have seen the lock's operation clearly from a chair; standing for this specific portion of the journey gave a much better view.
      Any comments about any other part of the story?
