I haven't seen anything about this ship before. It looks very modern compared to the Cunard ships that I've been on. I'll have to watch your other Holland America videos again to compare them to this one. You certainly covered everything on board.
@@joanfreestone1707 thank you, Joan. This is a Pinnacle Class ship, one of three that Holland America have. One of the two others is Konningsdam, which is on our channel. There are certainly more modern than Cunard in technology, not counting the newest Queen Anne.

After enjoying Rotterdam Northern Isles of Europe, and reading about Cunard lately disappointing ballroom dancers with less ballroom dance, I'm thinking of staying with Rotterdam HAL. I mean CCL owns both HAL and Cunard, and I don't see why I should pay a premium price for Cunard should the Cunard ship have dated technology, dated safety, dated efficiency, compared to HAL Rotterdam, and Cunard is apparently is no longer supporting ballroom dancers.
Thank you for the introduction of the Rotterdam, we will be on the Baltic cruise on 28/9/2024. Its very much different than the Volendam which we had on the Alaska cruise.

Hi Bob, another really thorough ship tour of what looks to be a really lovely ship. It’s funny, I never seem to find the gym in my ship tours, I wonder why? 😂 Coincidentally, was that a model of the original Rotterdam I saw in the Crows Nest? There was a TV programme over the weekend about how once in the 1970s it sailed from New York into the Caribbean with an absolute A-list of jazz performers onboard, what a musical cruise that must have been.
@@CruisingPeter Hi Pete, I don’t remember what model that was, but I think it was a much earlier variant. I believe there have been several Rotterdams- the one you mentioned with the A-listers… is a floating hotel in Rotterdam; we were on her late April (Vlog of which prob late Spring ‘25).
