So sorry to hear this mate. Its very disappointing when you buy something in good faith and this happens. Stick with it mate, youll have a great car in the end
To be fair it was cheap and I expected issues, so I paid a low price. I've learned an awful lot through this process though, so although disappointing I'm not mad about it.
My fte cost me 20,000 aud, that’s cheap over here they are average around 45k aud still; even with replacing the motor with a full rebuilt one I believe you will still be ahead !
I have a 255,000 mile UZJ100. The 2UZ truly is bombproof and ultra smooth with almost all of its torque available right off idle...but yes, I want to swap it for an intercooled 1HD-FT with a Gturbo. I'm so sick of putting a [US] gallon of high octane fuel in it for every 11 miles! I've only got 264 miles of driving range on a Land Cruiser. That's ridiculous!
Sorry to hear that, unlucky to find issues but I guess you may not have done what you’re planning to do if you hadn’t? Agree with 2UZ engine though, loving mine 😎
Impossible for me to say. There was plenty of servicing done, but I can't say if it was perfect because the car had 4 previous owners. I could believe one of them took shortcuts on the oil changes, but the internal damage was extensive.

What was the results of the compression test ? All cylinders low, some low some ok?
Three were low, but there's a lot of internal damage to the engine. Bearings, head gasket, piston rings. Poor thing obviously had a hard life.
The 2UZ-FE 4.7L V8 petrol is the true bullet proof engine its also alot cheaper to rebuild compared to a diesel engine
Seems like it's the more common one to find and replace too. Except here in UK where most of them are diesels!
@@landcruiserscotland😂 replaced due to it's fuel consumption thats about it but that's the sacrifice made for the longevity I guess.

I think this landcruiser is for the bin now. I've got another one so I'll combine the best parts into one 100 series.
Do you have any clue how or why this happened? Perhaps the oil and fuel filters were not changed on time?

Ile popsuty silnik miał przebiegu w km?
152000 miles
2uz for me. 😂
Yeah seems like all the issues are with the diesel
