Leslie Vernick has helped me so very much. Leslie, if you read this, know how much I appreciate you! I have grown so much. Letting go of my resentment for my troubled husband and forgiving him is the best answer for me 😊

Thank you for talking about this topic! I hated the word forgiveness because of the lies that I believed about it. The bible does mention that if we don't forgive we will be tormented. I believe that part of my depression and anxiety came from being a victim of abuse and worsened because of resentment. I'm currently reading your book Defeating Depression! Thank you for your obedience to the Lord Leslie ❤

31:18 🎯🔥 power in choosing. Love does no harm, faithful are the wounds of a friend so hurt is different from harm, harm causes damage. This helps as after years of hurt, i decided no contact when it turned to harm and destruction. Tysm. I forgive and wish them well from a distance 🙏🏻 ❤️

Some other phrases instead of I am aware would be “I notice I’m having this thought” I notice I’m feeling blank” or just naming or stating “ I’m thinking angry thoughts“ or “I’m experiencing some resentment.” Thoughts and emotions are not facts.
