- Going Through a triaxle 3 deck Wilson Silver Star and giving my thoughts on it, these are the caddilac of cattle trailers, very well designed i could only think of a few cons
Pros:
Board design allows venting the top hole
Very uniform winter board sizing
Good scrapeout door design
Many convienient optional specs such as the access door to open nose from outside
deck planks are light, easy to handle and loose enough to slow freezing after unloading
excellent nose deck design
roll up door easier to open when frozen
plugs and drains designed well
Cons:
Convertable door ramp pins are prone to wear causing possibility of opening accidentally
Use of cables on pins instead of chains are harder to use and corrode
pins on fold up doghouse are too small/bend
riveted winter board sliders could easily be improved to guide board better
winter board box could be slightly larger to avoid damage to boards
nose floors tend to wear out/sag quickly
also their air lift deck trailers have a weak lift and are very prone to freezing.
Thanks for watching

That why Trailer manufacturers need to build trailers exactly to customers needs & recommendations!!!!! Especially since they cost so MUCH!!!!!!!
Got some very nice equipment there driv,ah 😎🤙🏻
Nice WAGON!!!!! 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
👍👍👍
I love the way yall have your axle spacing and the tucked axle. Really wish we had more down here in the states!
Tri axle trailers are a lot more stable and the braking power is much better, I agree it’s way overdue for states to go tri, we can gross 102,000 like this
@@Bubbles8V92 I've only ever pulled 1 tri and it pulled amazing, really wish the states would switch the weight laws here to the same that are in Canada, would really make our lives quite a bit better.
@@Bubbles8V92Many Tri axles in the states!!!!! Even lots of quads as well
@@scottycollins1829 ya my friends in Alberta run south with quads we run Midwest with tris Michigan gives us a little more weight
Looks like Wilson still makes a very good trailer. It was a little dark for the camera inside.
I should have pulled more boards
What about a Barrett trailer?
Silly question, but have you pulled a cattle liner with the 8v92 or is it not enough power to pull that weight (speaking of which, what weight do you pull with 6 axles)?
max gross with that setup is about 102,000lbs the 8v92 would do fine with that weight, ive hauled that with it but with a grain trailer
5:51 What happened? Did you accidentally turn the camera off, or was there a sync issue?
I think I accidentally disabled the clip in Final Cut Pro it’s should be fixed once the edit processes 👌
@@Bubbles8V92 Oh, okay.
@@Bubbles8V92The blank section vanished.
Not a big fan of the pull out belly ramp . Seen cows / bulls and big fats hit there back on them a lot . Seams there's a way to raise the bottom end of the ramp straight up with pulleys and rope - similar system as rear roll up door - would have pins left and right rear to secure it to jail floor and outer wall on driver side .
I guess I don’t have that problem with the low belly and deep back end, lots of clearance even with most holsteins's
