Don't forget a herring strip on that upper hook folks! made a huge difference for me so far this month. throw herring filet strips in ice cream salt from the grocery store a few days before fishing and throw in the fridge. simple as that.
Yes!!! That little piece of herring made the difference last weekend in the sound during the Salmon for Soldiers event. We landed 9 coho using a simple rig like this and a little herring strip.

Absolutely! I think that is one of the biggest game changers on this rigging. Can be all the difference on getting bit

High Impact Stren,My favorite of all time. Great info as always
Thanks buddy! Always appreciate the support
I've used a coffee straw for a spacer... with a bead on top and bottom of the straw... you can cut the straw how long you want it
Great idea and light weight! Going to have to try that thank you!
you ever consider a cpl of bead stoppers to keep the squid up the right distance?
You absolutely could! Definitely a preference thing. My way shown is by no means the only or right way. Just my way I’ve been successful.
@@HolyMolyOutdoors thx. I only mention it since i zillions of those things...cheers

Thank you for watching and the support!
First time trying this setup where did you get the bead spacers from?
What thickness of fluorocarbon do you use for coho salmon?
For hoochie leaders it’s 40lb for me. Thanks for watching

Usually 4.5” on the ocean coho rigging
