    2 guys weighing 200 lbs = 400 lbs
    + 30 gallons of water + 26 gallons of fuel = 475 lbs.
    That will make this rig lose it's insurance for being over the limit.
    No food
    No cloths
    No supplies
    NOTHING MORE.
    How does the Mercedes people get away with this?

    All that storage but about all you can haul is styrofoam and air.

  • @gdfcommander

    Gotta love how Thor's website just has the GVWR and the GCWR but no dry weight or cargo capacity. With just 800lbs by the time I load up the family there is about 50lbs left for everything else. They need to stop making class C's on these sprinter chassis. I feel that the low cargo capacity really should have been on your list of 3 things to dislike. All that storage and nothing to do with it.

    • @xToddmcx
      @xToddmcx 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You can make a Class C on a sprinter, but not with all these slides. Just cut the dinette. The mistake Thor is making is trying to squish a class A floorppan in a B+. What they need to do is pay attention to that B+ nickname and scale up a Class B floorplan.
      Anyway what they're really doing is going wink wink, we know the occc is 800 but we know you'll ignore that.

    AMAZING! My only dislike is the cargo carrying capacity!! Seriously, it sleeps 4, you could almost take NOTHING with you!! Why even have outside storage???? Okay enough CCC ranting, LOVE the layout!! Genius bedroom, it's insane that you have that much closet space and seating areas!! Love the the tilt up bed with the bench and storage drawers underneath! This would totally be on my wish list but that CCC is a deal breaker!!! Come on THOR....figure out a way to increase that CCC!! Matt and Andrea, this was one of your best reviews!! Such great chemistry!!

    Overall I like the RV, yet the MSRP of $211K is outrageous.

  • @jhomrich89
    @jhomrich89 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    So it's a 210k+ MSRP tells me maybe 180 to 190k on sale for that price you can get into so many nicer choices like a very nice class A, a super C or you're not far away from some entry level diesel pushers far better suited for full time living. Yes it does have some nice features and fit and finish and I can see it if you plan on spending a lot of time in national parks with how crowded those get and unaccomodating to larger rigs but otherwise it's a great RV for maybe a couple much more than that is pushing it. I don't feel it would fit my needs.

    Already known that I’m not a B+ fan (except when I go to Europe) .:. 800 lbs ccc in a motor home that sleeps 5 (only see 4 seat belts) 👎🏽 the average North American adult weighs 178 lbs, the FAA ups that to 200 lbs assuming personal accessories and clothing .. I weigh 230 leaving 570 lbs .. divided by 3 is 190 each .. when we’re driving down the road with myself and 3 average guests, all the interior and exterior storage is useless 👎🏽 it all has to be empty so that the RV makes weight; we have to haul a cargo trailer 👎🏽 with our wardrobe, dishes, food (I can’t put anything in the fridge) and rest of our camping gear .:. and I’m supposed to give somebody $212 grand 👎🏽for the opportunity to do all of the above .:. one word answer - doesn’t matter how pretty it looks - no.

    First- someone needs to do a quick drug screen on Matt cause I’m getting all kinds of throwback vibes to the housewives ephedrine epidemic of the 80’s 😂. All kidding aside- at face value, this rig LOOKS impressive. Until you start thinking thru the practicalities. For example, you can’t access any of the kitchen with the dining slide in. Nor can you access any of your closet/storage space with the bed slide in. Still trying to figure out how on earth those front seats swivel given there is a dining booth on one side and an immovable recliner on the other directly behind them. Then of course, there’s the bed sized for a ten year old. I applaud the effort. But it’s just too much. This would’ve been a perfect opportunity to channel those European designers and second-level the bed, expand the kitchen, and move the bath to the back. OR even better, a living suite in the back. Think l shape sofa that turns into bed. Something like that.

    Sorry, but there were some things for me to dislike. 1. I don't like the idea of having to reach up so high for a (potentially) boiling hot item coming out of that microwave above my head. 2. A way too small bathroom! Get rid of the sink! We all need that PPP more than a sink. 3. No kitchen counter space! I don't have enough counter space in my class C right now, I couldn't deal with even less room for preparing meals! 4. The CCC! What's up with that low number?
    I liked some things, as well. 1. The smaller dinette, made for two. 2. The slide out in the living area, for more room in that space. 3. The seating under the bed for sitting/changing clothes. Otherwise, it's not a C class, and for a B+ it's okay.
    Great review, as always! I feel like y'all are sincerely honest about the good and bad in the products you review, and I sincerely thank you for doing this so I don't have to sweat my butt off running around looking at the RV's myself. I've learned a lot about what I want in my RV, or any future RV, from watching you guys. Thank you, Matt and Andrea (and crew)

    First of all, the MRSP is too high. I like a dinette for the versatility. Including one without the ability to transform it into a small bed negates a primary benefit. I like putting a dinette into the bed position, adding pillows and using it as a lounge area. Also, I'm trying to imagine how one could include basic supplies and passengers at the low CCC.
    I do like the decor, especially the cabinets. Even though I'm not normally a fan of fold up beds, I do like how this one was designed. Nice bedroom storage.

  • @dperry5933
    @dperry5933 ปีที่แล้ว

    Number 1 dislike no side view cameras in a $200,000+ MH. Number 2 dislike if you have a bike rack on the hitch you have to take the bikes off to extend the rear bedroom slide even on a rainy day. Number 3 generator on the awning side of the RV.

  • @nicholasbaker3183
    @nicholasbaker3183 ปีที่แล้ว

    Matt I rather have my dog than being alone without my furry friend.
    1. I don't like the kitchen
    2. I don't like the bathroom
    3. I don't like the small space
    the things I love
    1. The Dinette
    2. The bedroom
    3. The washer and dryer
    I think Thor should've done a better job with the space and make it big enough to bring the whole family plus the dog. If I had a dog I would rather bring the dog with me. I don't want to make the dog feel left out.

    B+ and full time living isn't something I believe. Dislikes: 800 CCC, what can you do with that? It's a huge deal breaker and no need to add other comments or likes. I am still laughing about the msrp, I wouldn't consider it with a 60% reduction from msrp. Still wish you would do a video on what CCC is and what a tank of gas and water weighs. It would help some RV sales people too, since the last two that I asked about CCC had no clue what CCC was or where to find it on the RV's they were selling.

  • @larrygray1557

    While initially loved the floorplan with the dinette and sofa, it was the reality of the compromises that keeps the murphy bed floorplans on top. They just try to do too much with this floorplan. Currently sleeping in a king bed, dropping to a full (54x74) is just to much. While a 76" wide king is way to much for RV of this size, the 60" queen in the murphy is doable. The other two compromises vs the murphy are the reduced counter space in the kitchen to the point on non-existent without the flip up, and dropping the shower width to 32" from 36".

    Over $200,000 MSRP! For a lot less you can get a Entegra 29v with much more room and storage especially for a full timer. The fuel economy isn’t as good but diesel is approaching $7.00 a gallon again here in California. The maintenance is also a lot less expensive. Diesel oil changes are a lot. Ford dealers tend to be a lot cheaper than Mercedes dealers. Other than getting your coach into smaller spaces I really don’t see an advantage here! It’s a nice motor home that’s definitely not worth the money!

    Idk Thor, 800 lbs basically is just the humans riding in it, so you have to have a U haul following behind you? Seriously, what’s the purpose of all the storage? On a rig almost a quarter of a million dollars you’d think it would come with better blinds, I noticed immediately when the blind was opening over the bunk how cheap it looked. The dinette not being convertible is insane. Where are 5 people supposed to sleep when the owners bed isn’t even a full?
    I don’t think I’ve ever been irritated by an RV before, but what Thor is showing us here is they do t even care, it’s about the money. Seriously 800 pound ccc get outta here!
