I like how you both are so nice to each other. Usually when couples spend so much time together they get a bit snippy. You two are always polite and considerate of each other.

Picked up our new 2021D Navion a few months ago, after watching this ( and other) videos about 500 times :). We’ve used it enough to have the following comments:
We opted for theater seating and so glad we did. The dinette isn’t very comfortable when watching tv. No place to rest your head for example. No real back support. The theater seats are very comfortable and recline. The swing out table for each seat actually creates a bigger table area for each person than the dinette table. We give up some storage, but since it’s just the two of us we find there is plenty of storage without the dinette storage.
The couch is ok for short sittings or eating dinner but isn’t very comfy beyond 30min.
We opted for the diesel generator because it’s easier to find diesel fuel vs propane. It is quite loud however.
The Murphy bed is very functional and is almost comfortable as is but we added a Tempur Pedic topper which makes all the difference.
We can watch TV from the bed no problem.
The MBZ engine has great power and torque and scoots is up steep grades with no problem. Gas mileage isn’t too bad - currently getting about 15 mpg.
We added a 3rd solar panel which gives us 300w - seems plenty to recharge both coach batteries during the day. Note: our panels were not mounted directly on the roof but were raised off the roof about an inch, since heat from them could potentially hurt the roof (so our dealer told us). The installation was very neat and professional ( all wiring nice and neat) and came that way from the factory.
We love the counter space. I personally don’t like the microwave/oven only because it is not intuitive to use at all. Luckily my wife figured it out.
We opted for dual pane windows which open wide and keeps the rig nice and cool while we’re in it.
The 30amp cord storage area is actually plenty big to store the 30 amp cord. I’ve never had an issue with it not being big enough.
The storage doors on the slide out side are a pain. Hard to get to when the slide is out. Would have preferred hinges on the side vs the top. There is a pass thru in one of the storage bins- great for storing long items.
We added a Dish satellite to the roof and makes it a breeze watching/recording TV shows.
So far we love this rig - perfect for our needs.
BTW: one of the over the cab windows recently broke and the dealer said it would be 6 months to order a replacement due to COVID. We called Winnebago and they took one right off their assembly line and Fed Ex’d it the next day. Another reason we chose Winnebago. Fantastic customer service.
Hope this helps anyone interested in getting one of these.

I'm a kicker. I wish they would have theater seating with twin murphy beds and a nightstand between them with 110 outlets for cpap.

Nice looking Class C, looks to be good quality. I'd prefer this over about any Class B I've seen so far.
    Three things I don't like:
    1. The solar thing looks cheap and unfinished, it should be secured better
    2. Outside storage should be lined with rubber
    3. I would rather have a single large sink, but smaller than the double sink, and more counter space.
    Three things I like:
    1. Aside from the sink, the kitchen is essentially ideal - induction + gas cooktop, that's a great idea! Convection/Microwave is great. The counter space is pretty expansive, given the sink. Nice fridge.
    2. The living area is a great setup. Murphy bed & dinette looks ideal to me. I like how the builder set up the Murphy bed too.
    3. I like the bathroom setup.
It would be nice to see a compact class C with a gear garage; it seems to be a common feature on European caravans, but seems uncommon in American campers. I know M-B seems to add value, but lacks carrying capacity and builders seem to have to compromise on the build because of it. I'd rather have a Ford or RAM, even a C-350.

    Likes:
    1. Slider screen door
    2. The decor - the combo of white upper cabinets and countertops with the dark lower cabs is sharp.
    3. The layout in general - spacious, plenty of storage WITH a pantry,
    Dislikes:
    1. I want a real oven.
    2. I wish the underside of the Murphy bed was white instead of dark wood because it kind of "looms" over the space.
    3. That I will never be able to afford this beauty!

You know, most people doing home builds do a better job routing their solar panel cables. seeing how they just leave the cables flopping up there just looks unfinished.

I would be concerned about exposure for the cables and how well any holes are sealed. For that price it is a huge shame

    • @NonyaDamnbusiness
      @NonyaDamnbusiness 3 ปีที่แล้ว +32

Agreed. Horrid job on the solar integration. It's the 21st century, why aren't they using flexible panels *integrated* into the roof itself already?
That way you can "sink" the panels into the roof and hide all the wiring while also maintaining a more streamlined look that won't produce any drag.
Panels mounted on a rack I can understand in a Class B adventure-class RV but not in a modern Class C. And certainly not this "stick on" rollup type of panel.
To paraphrase Coach from Letterkenny: "It's effin' embarrassing!"

Whoever bought this rig did it right. I think all the upgrades he added are well worth it. This is a beautiful RV because you have a Mercedes and Winnebago in a joint venture. I mean you have class all around. I got a feeling this rig is very well built. I don’t like a Murphy bed but I could see leaving the bed down when my wife and I are camping. Can I also say Matt you and Andrea look like Mercedes customers. Upper class guys! Cheers!!!

We own a 2020 View 24D and love the layout and design. Build quality of both coach and chassis were disappointing. We got it similarly equipped but without leveling as it is too heavy and not needed it so far. We have plastic LEGO blocks if needed.
The Nircold frig freezer run only on 12V so lighter and more efficient than propane version. I added a third solar panel, lithium ion batteries and way to charge chassis start battery off solar so start battery won’t go dead every two weeks of no use. That is a weakness of sprinter design. The over can bunk is well insulated from sun heat but needs power outlets and a small fan in summer.
The frig is designed to allow only use of refrigerator and not freezer if Boondocking and don’t want to run generator on cloudy days.
The 30 amp power cord is not hard to stow but the cable connector is buried at back of this area and my arms aren’t long enough to connect campground cable.
Solar capacity of controller is 450 watts. You can add up to another 150 on roof and balance from a portable panel on ground.
Heat and water heater is propane. The AC also has a heat pump to provide three season heat and avoid propane use. I get 14 mpg at 65-70 mph. Your mileage may vary.

Three things I love about this...the door and all the stuff on the door(little trash can), the dinette, and the places to put the little tables. Three things I don’t like are....the doors on the storage -I am disabled and I think it would be hard for me to put things in the storage compartments, does the tv swivel?, and I would have liked something for a laptop for the passenger seat.

Thank you Matt and Andrea for the video. I really like this motorhome. I wish someone made a similar size/design at a lower price or basically a 26-28 foot class c without the huge bunk over cab. This size and layout would work well for us but a ford engine would very likely be easier to have serviced at more locations. Things I like about this rv are the smaller more nimble size making it easier to take more places and not necessarily need to tow a vehicle for a weekend trip or a dog show; the interior layout with the huge kitchen counters and the u-shaped dinette along with the murphy bed as it makes the small space more versatile; the quality of the storage units on the basement, the fiberglass roof; the wind-sensor awning (I have seen many rv owners rushing from a dog show to their rv when a storm comes up). Things I don't like about this rv: the price, the wiring on the roof, the cargo capacity.

I refuse to comment on this unit - because the guy hasn't driven it yet
    I will say - that - if I paid $180,000+ -
$.02 I would have a 'Power Line with an electric motor to roll it up' $.02
It looks cheap, when a guy takes his power line and throws it all tangled up into a storage bay.

I love watching Matt's RV Reviews! He is so enthusiastic and truthful! My favorite is the big refrigerator. Those tiny refrigerators with icebox freezers are useless. We don't eat out, so we like the roomy large refrigerator/freezer. I don't like the dinette because of the low back. If you are young and have no back problems, then the dinette is fantastic, especially for all the people it will accommodate. If you are older and/or have back problems, the high-back recliners would be much more comfortable!

Great job with the video. Thanks to Matt and Andrea’s earlier video and review on this my parents purchased a 2020 24D back in May. It’s an absolutely amazing RV. The Mercedes chassis is a dream to drive. Matt is 100% correct about the outdoor storage doors - it would be better if they opened sideways and not up. I’d also change how the TV opens. I don’t like pulling on the side of the tv to access the storage behind it. Other than that this is a really good RV. The backup camera shows multiple angles, plenty of kitchen counter space, the U-shape dinette is also a great feature. Great job again with your review!!

I love the Mercedes chassis, that is a must have for me. i like the lights in the drawers, how cool is that. Soft close, gotta have it (it’s already in our house of course!). The layout of the pantry with the slide-out drawers will be super useful, per our experience with similar features in our home pantry. I love the fabric on the headboard and over the front seats. Love the sturdiness of the bathroom door. Plastic POTTY???? Can I substitute it with Porcelain???? Surely that can be changed out. I like a back bathroom. That is it for me. PLEASE BUILD MORE!!!

  • @anthonylicwinko9142
    @anthonylicwinko9142 3 ปีที่แล้ว +35

You don’t need to remove the back sofa cushions to open the bed, and you can leave the bed made and your pillows all on the bed and just close it, also the u dinette has three fold up under seat large storage areas. You forgot kitchen soft close drawers and led automatic drawer lights. Oh one other thing they moved the bed switch into the bathroom in 2020 for liability reasons as the bed can hit the person or smash a toe or foot as it is powered with a very strong motor.
Just a little note you went from a sales person to an ambassador, that’s like going from an employee to an owner which means it is important to study the the product in more detail before the video, the bar is higher now, saying all this like you were my son, we love you guys and want you both be extremely successful.

I am probably going to be the lone ranger here but there is a reason for backsplashs, the window is nice but should be half the size so a backsplash could be installed. Do not like where the bed button is located and the shore power cord storage to small. I do like the cockpit and refer along with the dinette. Good video and may I suggest the solar cords on the roof should be ran better than just flopping on the roof. Ya'll stay safe.

This is the ONLY model I would buy. It has all the upgrades I need. I'd imagine about 25-30% discount and that makes it a GREAT price ! Lots of counter space, great design, full body paint, TV placement, all PERFECT !! The plastic toilet is not great but there is a weight restriction for all Mercedes models so I'm ok with that.

My #1 love is the fuel mileage which you didn't talk about. 17 to 18 mpg!! I like the rear bath, and all the opts. however I am not a fan of the bed. I wish it was on two separate slides so you an choose if you want it out or not, but I really don't like the tight squeeze when everything is in. Can you even get the refrig open if it is in? Gulf Stream's BT Cruiser's layout is a tad bit better in that regard plus you can get the cute little fake fireplace. However the Winnie Navion does allow for move people and bigger sink. Shame you can add the good points of both to make the perfect set up. Anyway love the solar and love the cont. hot water! two big big pluses. Plus I love door also and the sliding screen.
Things I don't like is sofa of course and cost. oh BTW I like how you give tire sizes because I factor that in as a plus or neg....cost of replacements is important.

Very Beautiful Inside ....3 Likes...1) Beautiful Decor all the way around. 2) Like the little pantry 3) Love the weight limit on the overhead bed. ....3 DISLIKES 👎 1) Wires on the roof for the Solor Panels...2) The Shower door..yeak !!! 3) No storage in bathrooms for towels ... In my opinion what is offered inside and out in a RV unit for that kind of price point, I can't justify. Compared to what you can get in another unit in the same price range.

We have a 2020 24D and downsized from a Tiffin Allegro Bus. It was a dealer-ordered unit and had every option available except the dual pane windows and lithium batteries. We made a few limited changes/enhancements which address some of the criticisms. 1) Replaced house batteries with lithium. Make sure you get batteries with enough cranking power for the diesel genset. 2) Replaced factory solar with fixed panels and better controller. Factory panels are attached with screws, not 3M tape. They are installed with no ventilation and will scorch the roof. They also typically have a short lifetime. Installed the new fixed panels over the original flex panels to mitigate leaks from the "screwed" factory install. Note that install was done by AMSolar (highly recommended) 3) Replaced TV with a Visio unit for about $170. The factory TV never worked and we didn't bother replacing it under warranty. 4) Added an omni-directional antenna for cellular. 5) Cut the power cord into 2 pieces - short 3' and longer pig tail. 6) Removed/stored the upper bed mattress (lots more handy storage). 7) Added queen size mattress topper to Murphy bed. 8) Added pins to secure slider drawers in pantry. 9) Added rear camera to our Garmin GPS. Future mods will include levelers. If you remove the rear stabilizers the net CCC loss is reasonable. Don't like: 1) Exterior door vertical open. Also our fit was poor and the doors do not operate cleanly. 2) Dually valve stems are awkward. Don't plan to add metal variant. 3) Genset is noisy relative to a class A. 4) Mercedes GPS is unusable. Was not programmed for Android Auto or Apple but get by with smart phone and Garmin. When we do our first Mercedes service Android and Apple will be added. 5) House 12V fuses were not labeled. 6) The kitchen sink faucet weight is not secured and "bangs". Problems: 1) Minor water leak from tank fitting behind bed. 2) Exterior doors not securing. 3) Plexiglass door window scratched. 4) Kwikee steps failure. 5) Drawer light switches not installed correctly. 6) Factory TV non-op.

    + awesome table
    + Murphy bed!
    + good kitchen
    - put a small set aside area with a rubber mat for shoes. You'll never miss a shoe box sized cutout of the under sink storage.
    - wet bay and utilities are... small...
    - Bumper is nice but I know weight is a lot.
What I really want to see is this on a cheaper Chevy or Ford chassis. They make the nicest small motorhomes but the Mercedes thing is just more money and less reliability versus a Ford.

I just adore you two! 🥰🥰
I would do the theater seat option and put a table in front of the couch. I am an Artist. I paint canvases and I make embroidered textile art. Sometimes I paint on a table, and sometimes I recline and stitch. We live full time in a Keystone Cougar 33sab. I’m HOOKED on my theater seating. If I can have a recliner AND a workspace, I’m sold! LOL
WOW! I can dry a canvas overnight between that oven and sink! This is gorgeous. I love the add to the cushions! I just had the thought that Matt should jump on the beds to show that they can take it. 😂🤣 Those slats are fantastic.
Even that door is pretty! Is the nautilus door hard to clean?
Omg! I started cracking up when you sat down because I’ve started doing that “womp womp womp” at home and my BF cracks up and tells me I’m not reviewing a motorhome! 🤣🤣
Dang! You got me back on the U dinette at the end! It really is the nicest one I’ve ever seen.
Thank you for another fantastic review! 😊😊😊

Under longer und side storage could make a bolt on from inside of box under side storage add. Some stuff bulky like aluminum chair& such is super light & need not take up a pin(cheap no loss & weather proof stuff). Storage is premium on this style so max it out. If bottom of pin lifted out an over sized item could still b in bin less weather less drag yet hang down a bit still fine.

I really appreciate your telling everyone about the CCC because this can become a safety issue to overload. This unit has too little CCC for most people and basically precludes bringing any passengers which prohibits our buying one. I would love Winnebago to build a similar unit on the Ford Transit at a more affordable price. They have not kept up on the Minnie Winnies to include an LP gas quick connect on the other Cl C's and an outside shower. I need those.

    Dislike:
    1. Small door on outside upper passenger storage. - area is roomy inside but small opening makes it difficult to get at

put 3 tiny lines across the front of roof cap almost full length level lines stopping short of ends by 10" oe 14" depending on how wide. They r recessed body lines not standing proud of body. Even the space to make it look attractive. Could cove out a tiny rectangle box then put the front level lines back in. It's a air turbulence is good thing creating negative air pressure less drag smack into wind front face.

    Dislikes:
    1. Generator on the camp side - 4:50.
    2. Sloppy solar cable installation at 6:00. Don't know if that was General RV or the Flying W, but those wires flapping in the wind won't hold up well.
    3. Stick and staple construction - 5:11. How will that $160,000 coach look after 20-30,000 miles?
I also don't like the dark wood above the couch, but I could easily remedy that.
    Likes:
    1. Exterior styling with awning integrated into the roofline - 1:29.

The View/Navion is best best in class cargo carrying capacity (CCC) compared to Tiffin and Leisure Way. However, adding the auto leveling eats up the CCC (in this case about 320lb) which is why we did not get that option. Our fully loaded 2017 Navion has a CCC of 1300. We have no issues leveling our Navion...stablizers make the Navion rock solid.
