I would replace the jacknife sofa with the sofa bed you installed in the Vegas/Axis 24.1. It is exact same size and allow sleeping comfortably one adult or two kids. It does not take more size but avoid bringing a rest foot for bed extension to sleep an adult when the slide is out. At least Thor should propose the option. But i bet everybody would take the sofa bed.
Loved the way you presented this coach. Is there an “inverter” with this model like there is on other smaller coaches? I can’t wait to retire at the end of the year. This Gemini is on the top of my list.
Thank you for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment! This model does not have the inverter - has the converter/charger. Let me know how I can best help between now and your retirement - I would love to earn your business and help w/ getting you started w/ your motorhome adventures! My contact details are in the description of this video.
The Thor is good to provide you 749 kg/1649 lbs occc ( see the yellow sticker on the right door). I recommended you remove the generator (121 lbs), battery (25 lbs) and solar panel (12 lbs), as well as the pwm 30A Gopower to get 1810 lbs occc at least. Then install that kind of package: - xantrex freedom xc pro 3000w inverter charger - Lithionics 320ah (one or two, 68 lbs each) - dual alternator Nations kit 280ah in addition of the alternator 220ah chassis?to charge the house battery With a WS500 or balmar regulator. - 4 x Onyx Rich 250w = 1000w solar panel - two mppt 80A and 50A for the roof array and a portable external panel to get the sun if the location is shaded. With a 50 ft gauge 10 mc4 extension. With that you will be good. And still retain sone good occc.
I have a class A and I sometimes use the front a/c at night due to the noise. With a single a/c, I wonder if more of a mid placement would be quieter? Then use a small fan to move air back. But I like it and it's a nice floorplan. And a/c units are getting quieter.

@@CC-gt3ro-we have had no problems that couldn’t be remedied quickly. Did have the transfer case recall- quickly taken care of. We love the ease of which we can both drive it.
Great review! Only one issue...and that's with Thor. The fold out sofa falls short when deployed? Can a longer( even a couple of feet longer) be incorporated to make it sleepable for a couple of adults? Other than that... its perfect!!!
I proposed the exact same thing. Currently you can bring a foot rest to extend the bed. But the best is if Thor would install the sofa bed they already put in the Vegas/Axis 24.1, which is exact same size and fit perfectly in the slide. It is the same layout. It would be a little bit more heavy of course but perfect for one or even two adult to sleep comfortably when the slide in is out. They have the sofa bed, i bet it is possible to order one and do a replacement ourselves or by a dealership or third party installers.
I can see occc 749 kg/1649 lbs which is excellent as a base. And it is possible to remove the generator, the small battery and the 100w small solar, to get probably around 1807 lbs occc. That’s good to build a real serious electrical system with dual alternator 280ah , big 3000w inverter and battery 640ah, and 4 x 250 Onyx Rich rigid solar panel with new wiring and dual mppt controller 60A. In a second time, it should be possible to install a lift 4 inches. Finally, the last element, a Leveling systems EQ, big foot or HMW. To be built In this order..
Thank you for watching & taking the time to make a comment! This model has the following details posted on a sticker found on the inside of the passenger door, "The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed: 1,646 lbs. Safety belt equipped seating capacity: 4. Caution: A full load of water equals 257 lbs of cargo and the tongue weight of a towed trailer counts as cargo." As to MPG, some would conservatively say 12-14 while others would say 12-18. Depends on how and where you're driving. Let me know if I can be of further help, and if you're looking for purchasing details, please contact me directly (662) 205-6889.
Watch well the video on the right door you can clearly see the yellow sticker indicating occc is 749kg/1649 lbs, and you can remove generator (121 lbs), the basic battery 100ah (25 lbs) and the too small 100w panel (12 lbs), the PWM basic solar controller and the wiring not good for a big solar array on the roof. It would allow installing serious electrical systems with a bit over 1810 lbs occc. But keep in mind, the model with Ford does not have leveling system which is heavy and does not have the clearance. So it requires a lift kit before installing any leveling systems, or you would probably hit the first bump and damage the under frame. Probably it requires minimum 4 inches lift.
The generator is not an onan. What are your observations about this brand of generator. Is it hard to access for maintenance since it appears to be in the center?
Thank you for watching & taking the time to leave a comment! I've heard only positive feedback about this generator, and I've not heard of anyone having difficulties w/ maintenance w/ its position. If you're looking to buy a motorhome, please reach out to me directly (662) 205-6889.

Thank you for watching & taking the time to leave a comment! I wouldn't consider this an "all weather" model - not designed for sub zero temps, etc. Let me know how I can best help in the days ahead, and text (662) 205-6889 for more details.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! No, the Compass does not come w/ a spare tire - most motorhomes do not come w/ the spare tire due to the safety concerns and difficulty of changing the tire. If you're in the market for a motorhome, please send me a text (662) 205-6889 and let me know how I can best help.
@@TommywithRVsroad assistance does not have the tires for all kind of rv. So it is mandatory to bring a spare tire on a wheel and account for that in the final occc calculation.

The best mine gets so far is 14.1 mpg and Ford recommends fuel with a 92 octane rating!!! Means you should be using premium!!!!!

Recommended only if you want to get the max horse power and you tow a vehicle behind. Basic unloaded fuel would be fine otherwise.
