  • I replaced a couple of sickle sections using rivets on an antique McCormick 27 V mower. It originally was used on a Farmall Super A and has been modified to use on a modern 3-point hitch tractor. Look for more repairs coming soon.

Skills that are being lost, its important that folks like you record how it was done, I rent some land to a local farmer who uses a mf 7716 190hp its a monster he uses a haybob with 5 bobs aside !!! Most goes for round bale silage, but some is still baled the old way small square bales , nothing is done by hand! Machinery for everything, I've got a similar hay cutter, but with two sets of blades from the 40s and works perfect, its a German one can't remember the make.nicely put together fella 😉

Thank you! You probably won’t get commission but you just sold a 27V for someone on marketplace! Lol! I was wondering if I could run it on my Long an after seeing your setup I’m going to buy it.

Yes you can! They are very good cutting machines and are very tough. One has to be very careful if your tractor has more power than it was designed for though; like if you hit something.

just wondering, did you get the mower manual, handed down, or how do you know
what model exactly. 27 v and the 27 va I think the 25V had a steel rear wheel
wonder where or if they label it somewhere

I have the original manual that was handed down to me from the original purchaser.
