"Let's Go!" - Soviet Military March
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 21 ก.พ. 2019
- Let's Go is a song written in 1954 by Soviet composer Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi and poet Mikhail Dudin. It was originally written for the film Maxim Perepelitsa starring Leonid Bykov. The movie itself was released in 1955, and the song has achieved fame and popularity independently of it ever since. To this day it is still used as a so-called drill song (somewhat similar to a cadence call in the US Army). In 1959, Vasili Solovyov-Sedoy received the Lenin Prize for this song.

The thing about this song is that it can apply to all nations. There is not even a single mention about a specific nation, it’s perfect.
Soviet was kinda all about it - nation does not matter, you are a human first, everything else - second.
@@red-cap_shroom funny joke
@@billybonk7673 what makes you think that's a joke? Soviet union had socialism idiology, primary point of which was internationalism - collaboration and partnership of all people, no matter there race or nationality
@@red-cap_shroom That was before and after Stalin, he had the socialism in one country opinion. Plus he wasn't really a communist...
What makes you think that?
You can say that about every military song not mentioning the motherland or fatherland lol
I think this is a good representation of the soviet union, a quiet rural beginning where upon more and more patriotic voices join the march. Then the music grows to match the vocals (a good metaphor for the rapid industrialization of the soviet union). The marching will proceed to get louder and louder until you realize your speakers were on mute the entire time, and there are soviets at your newly east german doorstep.
@Greg Htma exactly
@Greg Htma And a good representation of the USA is poor people in the suburbs while large buisnesses stamp on their decaying corpes for money.
Not really rooting for the Soviet Union here, it was a ruthless dicatorship, but USA isnt that better.
@@remocmisser774 Well USA was better at hiding their issues, and now their pissed because people are dragging it out into the open
@@remocmisser774 yeah well people in americs didn't starved for the millions, the american government never invaded and conquered people that hated them, even in the periods were america was a pseudo empire in the 1800s and invaded Mexico the territories it took from mexico were scarcely populated the densely populated regions were kept in Mexican hands even though america could have just conquered them if they wanted to.
Besides poor people in America have historically had far better life standards than the poor people of other rich nations like germany or france or britain compare the US with a backward mess as the USSR is just dumb.
Even the german federal republic was wealthier than the USSR even though they lost literally all productive infrastructure between 1939-1945.

Originally the verse about hard work and study and flourishing cities was not in the march, but was later substituted in to make the song sound less aggressive. The original verse said: "Let the enemies remember, And it's not a threat, it's a promise, We have gone through half of the world before, And we'll do it again if necessary."
The current version includes both verses.

You ain't wrong
Sorry, I know that's just a joke but I can't stop myself. As marxists, we do not see this glorification of the military, mainly in an imperial core country as something positive. The US army, even if only as diplomatic leverage - but generally not - is used to enforce the imperial relation Lenin wrote about. People being against the US military is not bad. But as some country like Cuba, North Korea, or Vietnam, with their workers liberated, have their armies subservient to the ploretarian state, and as a peripheric nation, unless there is a reintroduction of Capital, the army is only used for self defense, supporting other revolutionary movements and for civilian aid, such as workers for transporting supply.
Also the inclusivity of this ads only has the problem of ironizing their struggle. Feminists, and LGBTQI+ have long fought for the elimination of a patriarchal cishet normative society (something Cuba and Vietnam are getting increasingly close to), and those struggles are generally aligned with class war. A movement that does not include the liberation of all is still reinforcing the ideas of capitalism, where groups are discriminated to have less advantages in the market. So placing that on a military ad of a nation that propagates this idea and finances fascists dictatorships, such as in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Chile, and even in my homeland - Brazil, that harshly oppressed the already oppressed. In other words, we need ploretariat, black, queer and women liberation, not more of them participating on the system that opress them.
@@ManoMano-dy7wf wow! You’re truly insane!! People liberated in North Korea and Cuba!! You do not know what are you talking about. Read history straight… if you’re guy in old Soviet Russia you were sent to the gulag.
