Actually it translates to "The open deployment". "The secret deployment" was "Der heimliche Aufmarsch" and this is the modern version of that song by the GDR (I think the secret one is from the 40s and this one from the 70s, but I don't know it exactly).

This is "Der offene aufmarsch", "Der heimliche aufmarsch" is a pre-ww2 song, since there was still no NATO and aggression towards the Soviet Union wasn't a widely spread idea, since there were 3 major "teams", the Allies, the Axis and the Comintern
The Der Heinliche Aufmarsch (the secret deployment) version was written in the late 20s early 30s, and it was more about stopping the fascist reaction that Germany was facing at the moment. The Der Offene Aufmarsch (the open deployment) was a remix of the original to change it's meaning to one that was more present at the moment, in the Cold War Era. In a way Heinliche was the resistance when Offene was the war.

This is "Der offene aufmarsch", "Der heimliche aufmarsch" is a pre-ww2 song, since there was still no NATO and aggression towards the Soviet Union wasn't a widely spread idea, since there were 3 major "teams", the Allies, the Axis and the Comintern

I believe this is the original versions and the lyrics differ a decent amount in someplace I prefer this versions to the other.

The difference is that the heimliche Aufmarsch is more about defeating fascism and the offene aufmarsch about capitalism
The Der Heinliche Aufmarsch (the secret deployment) version was written in the late 20s early 30s, and it was more about stopping the fascist reaction that Germany was facing at the moment. The Der Offene Aufmarsch (the open deployment) was a remix of the original to change it's meaning to one that was more present at the moment, in the Cold War Era.
In a way Heinliche was the resistance when Offene was the war.
