    Top notch execution. I’m currently bidding two out of town jobs that will certainly require a portable rack setup. Never built one before. My head is spinning with the possibilities. Videos like this bring it down to earth for me.

      Me too. Used Atem Mini Extreme ISO for all my live stream gig. But people want LED Walls, Projector out as long with youtube stream. So went with 2 m/e constellation HD and it arrived today. Looking for rack build that I had never built. But these videos.. just rocks 👍

    This is where I want my rig to reach to, have something similar in mind, so I am saving to get the 2 M/E Constellation, to help be the brain of the entire setup...and couple it with my Extreme...thoroughly love the breakdown and the buildup of the new rig...amazing job...keep it going...Cheers from Jamaica

    We have been using the Decimator DMON-4S to get four SDI to HDMI conversions done in one box, but I'm with Brandon - why does a four or eight converter for HDMI to SDI not exist? Decimator's part number - DMON-4S - just BEGS for a DMON-4H, doesn't it?

      I guess people think of it more as a multiviewer and it's cheaper to get a display with hdmi than sdi. But yeah I'd love a combined solution. I tried the theatrix in the field and they were unreliable 😢

    Wondering what the two POE cameras are (make/model) and how you monitor audio from the Constellation. Just finished my 8RU build and the weight is such that it is a two person lift. Breaking it up might be The Way.

    Hi, thank you for that nice video, i'm also building a rack and this helped me a lot.
    I have a problem made by my SDI cables that are too rigid and i'm searching flexible patchable sdi's. Do you have the reference of your cable that we can see at 10:57 . It would help me a lot

    i have that same usb-c display, i have contacted support now 2 weeks, the problem is that display works only 60hz and i can't use it with ATEM because my atem and stream is setup to 25p

    • @FiresideCC
      @FiresideCC 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A workaround would be to get a decimator and convert the signal to 25p. But it's not a cheap work around.

    I've been playing with NUC as NDI inputs as well; could suit this setup as not much extra weight. I've got a BirdDog play on order but been a few months now and a NUC with two outputs running diCaffeine build of ubuntu has been ok.
    I don't have pro presenter; but I've been using OBS and the NDI output for a clean feed with a streamdeck for lower thirds etc. and as a plan b can use it to bring in extra confidence monitor or display notes etc.
    You done much with the birddogs? they stable?

    HD 2M/E Constellation such a wonderful workhorse. Wasn’t it annoying Blackmagic didn’t release the 4K version at NAB 2023? 😂
    Love the idea of that 1 rack of 10 bidirectionals! Solves and Solidifies the decision to go with Blackmagic ecosystem instead of Roland/AVmatrix with hdmi/sdi mixed connections 🎉
    Good to know that 1 ProPresenter has 4 individual outputs - Vmix (Windows) only has 2 full screen outputs.
    Would love to know if you use Resolume software as well?
    Wonderful videos as always. Looking forward to your next ones. Cheers! 🍻

    Hey Bryan can suggest the best cost effective Narrow Bezel TV for a 2x2 Video Wall?

    • @A2ZProductions
      @A2ZProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hmmm, I don't know the best but I have been using Samsung TVs from Costco because they are reliable and easy to get and in stock. Not the narrowest bezel unfortunately but most of my needs are from a farther distance where bezel size is not a big of a deal as one might think. Sorry not the best answer but hope it is helpful.

    Are you doing it this way because you want to re-use the hardware you have? Because for any other reasons it doesn't make sense.
    You need to start migrating to IP. NDI is super reliable, very affordable and offers a flexibility of routing and distribution that none of the baseband setups can match.

    • @A2ZProductions
      @A2ZProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What about latency for imag? That is the main reason why I have not fully switched yet. Delays on giant video walls and projectors can be distracting if latency is too many milliseconds long.

    • @SierraLimaOscar
      @SierraLimaOscar 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@A2ZProductions IMAG is the only application where NDI is at a disadvantage compared to SDI. But looking at your setup and the use of HDMI cameras you are getting a latency of at least 4 to 6 frames from those (probably more) and that is achievable with NDI too.
      With an optimal setup and with the use of professional SDI cameras as the source I have achieved latencies of 4 -5 frames with NDI (glass to glass). But in that situation everything plays a role, even the input format of the videowall. To achieve that you can't use the cheap small SDI to NDI converters but have to look at something like the NC-2 from Newtek (or use the SDI inputs of the Tricaster).
      Every other aspects of NDI however wins over baseband (connectivity, distribution, streaming, ....). But with IMAG you do have to be very careful anything above I believe 6 frames is considered bad.
      I don't have to deal with IMAG too often, but when I do I always find a way to test the latency, because it depends on so many variables.
      Of course then there is ST-2110, if you have too much money in your life 😂

    There absolutely is a product to do all your scaling needs rather than this. Yellobrix, og frame full of cobalt scalers or apantec... Like so many products... This build scares me
