NICE Ring Road Bengaluru: Partially implemented & largely scrapped project

- NICE Ring Road, also known as the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC), is a partially operational 4 to 6 lane private tolled expressway encircling the city of Bangalore, India. Developed by Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE), it was initially planned to connect Bangalore & Mysore but faced significant controversies & setbacks, leaving a majority of the project incomplete.
The operational sections of the NICE Ring Road primarily serve as a bypass & ring road within Bangalore, connecting crucial areas & highways:
Electronic City: Connects to the Electronic City Elevated Expressway (NH44) & Hosur Road.
Bannerghatta Road: Provides access to Bannerghatta National Park & surrounding areas.
Kanakapura Road: Links to Kanakapura town & the southern parts of Bangalore.
Mysore Road: Offers an alternative route to Mysore compared to the Bangalore-Mysore Expressway.
Tumkur Road: Connects to Tumkur & other towns towards the northwest of Bangalore.
Kempegowda International Airport: Provides connectivity to Bangalore's international airport.
As of 2024, the NICE Ring Road remains partially operational, with the unbuilt sections causing ongoing debate & speculation. The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is considering the feasibility of constructing a parallel road to the NICE corridor to complete the ring road around Bangalore. However, the future of the project remains uncertain due to ongoing legal battles & financial challenges.
Overall, the NICE Ring Road is a complex & controversial project that has significantly impacted Bangalore's transportation landscape. While it offers certain benefits, its incomplete status & ongoing challenges raise questions about its long-term viability & future development.

Its main motive to connects from Hosur,Mysore,Pune,KIA, Old Madras Road by NH48 as bypass but completed half, lacks connects to KIA so now planned STRR...Its first peripheral expressway of Karnataka
It's "Nelamangala"....not "Neelamangala". Also it's " Nandi Infrastructure..." not "Nandini Infrastructure.....". kuch bhi....

Very good informative videos...At 4.30s its main Greenfield Bangalore Mysore Expressway stretch construted 3km towards Mysore, 7 Km towards Bangalore...Project shut due to heavy lobby in land acquisition after the new Brownfield, Greenfield Bangalore Mysore expressway project executed on Bharatmala pariyojana...Road ends near Nelamangala beside its BIEC...Main motive is bypass or outer ring road for Bangalore city

Why our IAS officers and minister paid so much they have no business sences if 74 km prr if govt mind can make 100000 crore profit and 50 years water for Bangalore can solve with excess money by selling auction service road facing 8 crore sqft can sell at the rate of 10to 15000/sft people will invest from all over world now internal residence site puravakara selling for 9000/sft 200wide more than enough for six track road 6*12 120 ft for road 80 ft for buffer and 150 ft for comercial plot selling 80000 crore can generate and land behind commercial if amalgamation required should charge them 1000/ sft as cess for prr total one lacs crore can generate and give farmers four fold compensation still govt make 50k crore profit + ring road toll if they have love for Bangalore should do 99% people understand and appreciate 1% Bangalore enemy will criticize it's win win model
