- Today we made packages from hives in Maryland. We are a very small operation and not nearly as fast as the big guys.
It was a fun day shaking, lots of laughing, and in the end just under 200 packages made.
Enjoy!

Wow - what an amazing video and process. Thank you for sharing
Much kinder than most I have watched. Thank you. I would buy your packages.
Thank you!
Heck yeah! Watching from Prince George, Virginia.,14 hives ready for winter.
Good luck this winter, will see what get weather wise!
When he said Storm! and placed his hand in the air I thought he was calling down lightning 😂😂😂😂
Wow that is so cool! Thanks for showing us how it's done
Seems like alot of work to make packages and I thank you bee guys for that! Great vid!
Thank you - we only do it a couple days a year, so it's still fun !
now that was cool,, just caught my first swarm a couple weeks ago and just moved them into a hive... neat little gals bees are..
Love that shaker box
Ян, как ты мог 😏 нельзя так с пчелами..
First video I've seem of this side of the packages. Ty, Happy Easter, Blessed Days...
Thank you - there are not a ton out there, and we are super small. I'd love to see a few of the big guys myself. It took us all day with that many people to do just under 200. Roberts Bee Company (I get early packages from them) can crank out a LOT more than that before lunch!
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you -
Recognized your name after I replied, have seen a few of your videos too, love them
Great video and thanks for teaching us
Good work fellas! This information is important. Helps new beekeepers know what a strong colony should look like and how much work pro beekeepers do to make packages up.
Belated, but thanks kamon!
That was cool. Just watching the system of how you make your packages was amazing. Gives new meaning to working hard.
It's still just an over grown hobby that I / we have fun with!
Wow lot of work, but awesome😁👍
You do a really nice job handling those packages.
Thank you, we try.
Bravo farmeri😀👍

Crazy town!! I've always wondered how this was done!
Outstanding
good luck with your work
OMG how many bees !
Doing the math on total indivudual bees can be entertaining
มีผึ้งในรัง.เยอะมากๆ..ครับ....เป็นสายพันธ์ที่มีผึ้งงาน เยอะมากจริงๆ..
Very cool. I had no idea you guys where near. Next year if I need to I'll be buying. I'm Eastern Shore.
Where on the shore? I'm setting up a couple of yards in Chestertown this spring for a friend

Foarte frumos. In ce perioada faceți acești roi
👍👍👍
That's a LOT of bees. Interesting. I have never seen this on a level this large. most beekeepers here are hobbyists and only do this to produce 1-2 swarms to replace a lost colony.
Just throw in an queen excluder between the two boxes a week priir to shaking, so you just have to look for open young brood and not have to locate the queen itself
These cowboys aren't using a smoker which would probably help settle the bees down; apparently their priority is to load bees into boxes. Then find a queen, full speed ahead.
Oh we were definitely using smokers
It is helpful
Hi good luck
You can use air to remove bees from the hive. Bees would be less harmed

Is all of this equipment custom made or there are outfits that sell these? They seem to look very similar but I never see a supplier. Thanks
What is the size of the feed cans that go in the shipping cages?
Did those bees come off the almonds? They are booming hives for sure.
Nope, no almonds. To be fair, there was some serious drift at the end of the line where we started the video. Most were not that full.
That’s one heck of an operation. I do prefer to raise nucs. It seems less stressful on the bees . Also do y’all do mite checks on all the colonies before shaking bees ?
Try to treat and have em clean yes-
how are those hives not swarming?
excelente trebajo...saludos desde mexico
Thank you!
Cool video but shouldn't have shooken the excluders in the basket sometimes queen holds on excluders underneath
True, good point

Hello. How many packages of bees do you produce in a season from 1 hive
1.5 to 2, only do one round. Folks that do a ton of these south can hit them 3 or so times and do more. I'm just trying to take the swarm out of them

In one video I watched a beekeeper who created 340 colonies out of 40 colonies. So on average, it can create 7 or 8 new colonies from one colony.
Jeny rich te rog trimite și mie video cu persoana care face 340 de roi. E foarte interesant. Mulțumesc

@@adrianistrate9166In fact, 6 or 7 colonies can be produced from 1 hive of bees. This is possible in a place with a temperate climate, which depends on the length of the season in that region. This person is doing this in a region with a Mediterranean climate.
What happens if You guys accidentally put two hives in the same package?
Do that all the time, they mix fine like this, especially in spring

I subscribed to your channel and watch your videos. If this idea is wrong, I apologize because I use a Google translator and I’m not sure how reliable it is in English. Take care not to be upset
I am an Italian beekeeper and I don't like what I see at all. Bees are not objects. I would never buy anything like this and I hope no one else will. Lorenzo
How we can saport our farm
Where are you from? Im from Tajikistan
Maryland
Thank you for the video.
How many packages do you average per colony?
Looks like a great system.
Thank you for watching. In the end we ended up with about 1 package per colony as an average. That counts some that we could not shake at all.
Do you do nukes as well or just packages
We do a few hundred nucs as well. Keeps me out of trouble!
Cool I might come see you about some nukes I'm in taneytown
what treatment is this guy. here we don't work like this bee scenes.
I am effrayed by so much brutality and disrespect towards these bees
С решетки может матка попасть.
Why not mark the queens so they are easier to find
You're not wrong, it would be a little faster. Mark as we see them is always on the list, but always moving to fast to pull it off. We did see most queens on the first pass though.

I don't know how cruel this process they are not treated like living creatures they are treated things I feel sorry for these bees holiday bounce them around like marbles rocks what's wrong with these people I thought these were precious that we depend on them and they depend on us it is not right these people are criminals

And you are actually proud of yourself. I hope one day you find a better way instead of an easier softer way (4u that is) dude, this is so horrible.
Either way, thanks for feedback
Lots a bees gettin killed in the this process.
Very very few dead bees
WHAT IS A PACKAGE? You might want to cover that for anyone new to your channel and/or bees.
Thank you, something to think about next time

NG,
Why package bee's?? It's way to rough way to slow for build up way to much failures once sent way way to much stress for the bee's it's a disaster.. sell nucs so much easier, so much more pleasant for the bee's and keeper..
Что за методика? Что они делают, просвятите, если не трудно?
I sell nucs too, each have the pros and cons. Especially in my area. Very early flow.
