@@TheBushBeeMan I got lucky with mine then! I shook a swarm into a box without any gear. Had my wife out there too. Would have been a terrible mess if it had gone wrong! You can see my video on my site to see her perspective of the whole excitement!

Not wrong about wearing a suit for swarms well at least a veil, my first swarm I caught , I had one of the girls land in my beard and get stuck she panic stung me on the neck just below the ear and before I knew it I had 7-8 stings in the same spot not a whole lot of fun

Did you check the box they came out of to see if there was a problem? Cheers for sharing the laughs. I'm one of the clowns that will catch swarms in bare feet shorts and tshirt. I do however put a veil on my head as I can not be fussed dealing with head stings! Stay safe, eat well, have fun! 🦘🤠👊👍

A misting spray bottle of light sugar mist water makes them not want to get to airborne and get busy cleaning each other, they come down easily and don't nick off.

I’m from American and I’ve kept bees my hole life and caught many many swarms with no suit but I think it’s because of where I’m at compared to you if I had to guess I’d say bees in Australia are more aggressive though I do agree if your new to keeping bees I’d where a suit, wouldn’t want someone getting a bad taste of bee keeping

That's was amazing swarm and wanna know if they stayed in the box and didn't swarm again. If ya like just send me some of those bee's to south Carolina
Hubby would've been putting another box on to give them more room.
I have gotten a bunch of swarms out of the air with banging on metal and they usually settle right down. Also have used swarm commander just spray a small amount on the inside of your box and sit it down in the swarm and they will go right to the box.
I'll have to try that out!
