  • This 1991Toyota town ace that we recently imported has 7,694 original miles. The vehicle drives very strong on the road. Easily goes 60mph without feeling like you are pushing it too hard. All of our units are serviced and anything with 4WD, cabin heat, cooling system and drive train is tested and fixed if necessary. We buy low mileage trucks which means that we have to pay more for them. This extra cost buys a lot of insurance but it isn't 100% infallable plan. We still go through the vehicle when it arrives and our fabulous mechanic fixes whatever we think needs to be fixed. Thanks for watching our video! CORRECTION: I call this a 1995 in the video. That was a mistake on my part:) It is a 1991

    I hope the guy in Maryland who bought this sprayed a lanolin based anti-corrosion treatment such as Surface Shield underneath and particularly on the frame. Do regular oil changes on that Toyota diesel engine and salted roads are the only thing that would kill this truck. If I needed more cargo capacity than my Hijet, this Townace would be exactly what I'd want.

      Yeah, it was an absolutely perfect vehicle. He maintained the physical plant at a sawmill.

    Excellent craftsmanship. Gonna get one Lord willing. These new US trucks wouldn't have one give to me. 80 to 100 grand junk. Work em hard theyll break quick. The older ones 2000 back are great but these new ones are from the new engineering kids, making all experimental junk. That doesn't last. About 10 years is all they'll last, but being in the shop most of the time.

    I recently acquired a 1994 Toyota "Liteace" 4wd (1800cc gasoline).
    I've noticed that in most "kei" truck groups, service and part sources, these Toyota "Liteace" and Townace are seldom EVER mentioned and it's really hard to get any useful info on them.
    I'm told that because it is built upon the Toyota Hilux chassis, it's not technically considered a "kei" truck -- and seemingly snubbed by such groups...
    ... nonetheless, it STILL falls under the same restrictive licensing limitations (must be older than 25 years, etc.), AND is presumed "nonexistent" by most U.S. autopart vendors and mechanics.
    Can't even get info on it directly FROM Toyota here in the states.
    Very frustrating.
    Any info on links to sources of parts or or basic info would be appreciated.
    It seems to be orphaned by both sides of the vehicle community.

      I'd contact your importer who brought it in for you. They should offer parts support for your imported vehicle...

    I've been told these trucks when they're this color blue come from northern Japan where they have more snow, the blue is a whole lot more visible than a white truck.....

    Can we convert this into a motorhome??? How much does it weight????

    • @minitrucks
      @minitrucks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes for sure. I would stick with the CM-65(diesel) or YM-65(gas). The axle on the 65 sets further back and has a higher capacity for loads.
