    Ok genius these were constructed as missile silos plus crew accommodations, not as bunkers to ride out doomsday. They can be turned into bunkers fairly easily but that's not what their initial purpose was. Massive bunkers for the political parasites in DC are places like Mt. Weather, Raven Rock, and NORAD. Out in the middle of the country in states like N Dakota we still have hundreds of silos with active missiles tipped with variable yield thermonuclear weapons designed to come down on a target from a suborbital altitude and strike a target. Each target whether it's a city, national capitol, or military base has multiple warheads targeted at it all with max yields in the 350 kiloton range (the bomb that destroyed hiroshima had a yield of 15 kilotons)
