Thank you so much ma'am for such information, I am also a graduate with N Diploma in financial management and 4 to 5 years experience in the field of finance, I wanted to further my studies but I got rejected by universities, they told me that my qualification does not carry much value, so I got discouraged . But now I am glad that they are alternatives that I can use to further my studies. Thank you so much ma'am.

Hi, it depends on the institution’s admission requirements, I would advise you you finish up to n6 but it all depends on your career goals
Dear Yolandela. I am an adult who has been employed but did not study. At my age and with no solid qualification I am unable to obtain any job as they only employ youngsters. Please advise where can I study N4 -N6 Diploma online and be credited for practicals as I have more than 10 years working experience in Office Administration
Hi, you can study at any TVET college that offers Management Practice. Management is similar to office administration so your practical can work for you. Also consider applying at a university and ask them about the Recognition of Prior Learning. This for the more matured learner with relevant working experience, they can accept you into a diploma or degree if they see your practical (evidence) corresponds with a qualification you want to study.
I m currently working for an oil and gas company for 4 years now and i got in via my Grade12 & learner-ship . I recently applied for an Engineering degree at Unisa and i got rejected . Will studying N4 engineering studies at a college help me to get admission at higher institution ??
Hi Fikile you can definitely take the college and later further your studies at a university. Please ensure you get good results 😀
Can you do your in service training simultaneously with the N4 - N6?
Absolutely considering that you will able to keep track of your evidence, important to maintain a good relationship with the person you are reporting as they will assist you with your diploma application

We all need to start somewhere if it will help you get to where you want to be it is useful. It must align with your goals.
Where could I get an advance certificate for hrm hence I saw there are very few universities are offering it. Like uwc only offers a advance certificate in public administration
Have you checked universities of technology? Try that and Unisa has quite a number of universities advanced cert..

Am about to finish my N3 Electrical at N.I.M.T in Namibia (we write tvet exams from south Africa)and want to continue N4-N6 electrical engineering in South Africa then advanced Deploma you mentioned...i just want to know if its possible?
And also can I get a N6 national deploma straight after doing N4-N6 if I did my 18 months job attachment during my n1-n3 and have log books and documents to prove it?
Hi there, I suppose if you are writing exams from SA you will be able to finish this side. You need 24 months work integrated learning however you can use previous experience as long you have evidence to submit.

Hi absolutely apply for an advanced diploma, which NQF L7 equivalent to a degree. I will highly recommend a university of technology if you want to study further in engineering

We all make mistakes what’s important is learning from them. I would assume you have completed your matric!
Which course do you want to apply for? starting from N1 depends on your matric results and course you will be doing. Currently DHET is phasing out N1-N3 you might find that some college won’t have N1 -N3, going forward it will be N4-N6.
Molo sis mna ndifuna ukwenza i teaching,but currently I'm doing n4 e college,ndenza i electrical engineering so iwant to do till n6,can teach n1 or other nated programs in college,if I pass my n6 well with distinctions, to be specific iwant to teach maths......or should I go to university after my n6 to do teaching
Hi Luvo finish your N6 and inservice then get your diploma, with that you can apply for an advanced diploma in TVET teaching. Check out my video explaining how to become a tvet college lecturer.

It’s not a diploma without your practicals, you have N6 certificate.

So all universities in south Africa accept national diploma N6 with experience?
I can’t really speak for all but majority is open to tvet graduates
What if you only have an N5 certificate & want to transfer from a Tvet college to university is it possible
It’s a challenge but you can try, I would advise you to finish

The college should give and explain how the evidence must be compiled.

@@mengeziklassen6737 hi you can’t do NCV you passed matric however maths, science and drawing for n1-3 have been kept for situations like your you will be enrolled for them as a way to get into N4 if your results weren’t good enough for N4
@@YondelaM oh thank you much roughly speaking I got a higher certificate in my matric and I got 33% for maths and physics 32% where do think they will put me or since my marks are they will put me in level 4 ncv just not sure
Hi i have not completed matric, i jumped in NCV i completed L4 go all the way Nated until N6 currently, my worry is i want to go back to finish matric is it adviceable?
This all depends on why you want to go back do matric. I can’t really advise not knowing your plans for the matric.
NCV L4 is equivalent to matric, and just like with matric if you want to enrol at a university and your results are average you will struggle getting accepted.

No you don’t have teaching subjects for schools however you can apply for advanced diploma in tvet teaching

Hi there you need a matric to do N diploma ❤️ consider redoing grade 12 or NCV
Is it a must to do 18 months practical work in order to study further?
RPL can be without the practical but it will means you will study the full duration of a programme e.g a degree, however advanced cert and diploma require a diploma

They will 100 percent accept it

This will depend on the on the institution’s admissions policy, but most likely first year

Mam I have a question what if the career you completed your diploma in is not what you really want to do and you apply at the university with your credits of your diploma then do you have to do extra courses to get into a different career
Hi there, this is very tricky the best advice would be to first check the requirements of the qualification you would like to study for, if you don’t meet them with your matric or L4 then apply through the recognition of prior learning. The institution will consider your age, experience, previous qualifications

Definitely if your college is registered with DHET they all follow the same curriculum

If you are in Cape Town check falsebay college and northlink I think they have part time classes. Or ask at any college for part time classes age doesn’t matter ❤️

Hi, I don’t know anyone personally however the students are advised to continue studies at a university of technology because they can also get credited. The N diploma translates better at a university of technology
If i have matric and want to do nated courses in engineering, di i start with n1 or n4?
N1 and then you work yourself up to N4
This will also depend on your results however witheN1-N3 being phased out you are required to at-least have 50% for maths and science if not you may start with N1-N3 maths, science and drawing,
Please how can I located the tvet college?
The are 50 TVET colleges around the country with Gauteng, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and KZN having the most so search on google tvets close to you.

Hi, I would suggest that you register on linked in if you haven’t, create a profile you will access to a lot of hiring managers send messages. Also continue contacting your college they should assist you with placement as well.

Yes you can through recognition of prior learning, there’s a video on the channel explaining what and how RPL works. Ultimately it depends on the university’s admission requirements.
I wish i did a different course😢i did Management Assistant because now i cannot find a course that is related to that at a university

Apply at any university where they offer the qualification you want, highly recommend university of technology TUT,CPUT, DUT etc
What if you were condone on n6 or n5 and get n4 n5 n6 certificate do you get a diploma when applying
If you were condoned in all levels, not just 1 you can apply for your diploma
@YondelaM so what I'm asking is I have n4 certificate ,on n5 I got 39 on my ip ,nd they gave me n5 certificate even on n6 I also got 39 nd I wrote my ip on n6 for several times still got 39 nd then they gave n6 certificate so am I allowed to apply for a national diploma ,i have been condoned 2times on one subject

Hi, if you don’t qualify to study through a university maybe consider nursing colleges they normally have study options that even accommodate people without matric, they may have a suitable option for you to kick off your nursing career. There are public (gvt) and private colleges offering these programmes. All the best

@@sinenhlanhlamdlalose6268 society has sold us a bachelor’s, new qualifications are introduced that address industry specific needs so for public administration I would definitely recommend and adv dip it’s more practical
