How’s it brother. I’m on the same journey but Electrical. Busy with in service training to get my Nated Diploma. I also want to apply for the adv dip at unisa once I’m done. Would be nice to know how it goes with your application
I completed my N6 (electrical) - I want to get my advanced diploma, I have to do it part time as I'm currently working. Where can I study? And secondly, how long will it take to complete it? Thanks in advance.
Hi Zanele, Please compare Adv. Diploma vs B-Tech Vs B-Eng Tech, and also what would you recommend for a N.Dip holder between Advanced diploma and B-Eng Tech. Please take note that it will take 2 more years if a technician enrolls for a B-Eng Tech as opposed to one more year for an Advanced Diploma. With everything considered, I don't know which of the 2 would be the most beneficial to me since I have a National Diploma.
@@solomonngwenya767 SA is a signatory of what are known as the Washington accord and the Dublin accord. Read up on them. These accords basically allow SA engineering degrees, and diplomas, to be recognized internationally by other countries that are signatories of these accords as well
For a national diploma holder: an Advanced diploma can be done part time. So if you are working, this might be a good idea for educational progression. A BEng Tech is currently only offered full time. So if you are working, it may not work out. Absolutely. Depends on what you want to do with your life and also in the environment you find yourself in. There's a number of factors to consider. Firstly I would say, your academic abilities. Secondly, where you would like to go with your career. The theoretical content and complexity of a BEng is not the same as a N. Dip. The N. Dip is two years theory and 12 months service training. The BEng is four years theory.
