Detailing Rarest Ferrari in the World: Glickenhaus P4/5

- This is a daily driven (sort of) Ferrari owned by Jim Glickenhaus. He's a friend, collector, and race car team owner who has built the rarest Ferrari in the world. Why? Because its the only Ferrari that Ferrari did not know was being built until....it was being built. There are lots of really really expensive Ferrari's that are incredibly rare. However, all of them were built by Ferrari knowing they were being built. The Glickenhaus Ferrari P4/5 was not = rarest, most unique street legal Ferrari in the world. This is its first wash and detail in 2 or 3 years. Yes it gets wiped down and spray waxed, but no one (to my knowledge) has every actually detailed or corrected this paint. Clearly not a disaster detail, but definietly needed paint correction. There is a huge before and after satisfaction and gratifying reveal so watch until the very end when Jim Glickenhaus arrives to pick it up. Can't believe this car is 16 years old! It looks like it could come out next year and still look ahead of its time.
It's a "hypercar" concept.
Hypercars exist since the 90s. And nothing has changed.
In fact the Porsche 911 GT1-98 a hypercar from 1998 looks a lot more modern than this car.
This car is based on the 330 p4 of the 60's, beautiful v12 powered Ferrari

Ferrari knew all about the Barchetta didn't they? I thought the following was true, "Ferrari even ordered Jean to remove the F40 logo as well as the Scuderia shield. Apparently, the Prancing Horse wasn't really happy with this project, and they didn't want to acknowledge it as one of their own."

This car is the modern version of the Ferrari P3. ;)
This is car was built using the last unsold Ferrari Enzo. The owner wanted a modern version of a P Series. He already had a David Piper P4 replica. He sent both cars to Pininfarina and this is the result. The head team at Ferrari were so impressed with it that they gave it the official designation Ferrari P4/5.

the quality of video comes from the Sensor in the camera he is using.
and his quality is quite high.
I can film at 720P with DSLR camera and get video quality 10X better than some EL cheepo 4K camera.

@@3rdGenGuy Obviously he doesn't mean get a cheap 4k camera. We want even higher quality video. Also even with a high quality 720p camera you will never ever reach the quality of a mid range 4k camera. 4K is not a meme, it'll eventually become the new standard, like 1080p was.

I never gave any serious thought about this topic until the AMMO NYC channel and website started highlighting it a few years ago.

I've spent time around this car and I have to say that it is even more beautiful in person. This car reinvented modern coachbuilding.
Your the only detailer I know who works so hard on a daily basis, others focus on having the best garages, tools, or chemicals but don't actually put in the work like you do. I bet they don't use half the half the stuff they talk about while you let your products speak for themselves based off the amazing work you do. Wish I found your channel sooner.

I can really relate to wanting to detail special cars to you as you can appreciate the vehicle from seeing it but you will never fully notice and fall in love with it till you get hands on and pay close attention to the details.....which there is nothing better for that than detailing. You can clearly tell just how much work it was and how much got edited out as thats a crazy amount of time you guys must have spent! Keep up the great work!

I remember Top Gear magazine did a feature on this in the UK when Gene first took delivery. I never thought I’d see it resurface after that, but, true to his word, he’s kept using it. Possibly the prettiest Ferrari ever made. Lucky you for getting to spend so much time with it.

10:00 Shouldn't this raise the question, though... Doesn't each polishing method leave a different look/feel/finish on the vehicle? Shouldn't you want all teammates to use the exact same method on the same vehicle to get the most uniform look?
It’s not that serious
Each method can still yield the same result. One method could technically be more aggressive and remove a bit more paint though, but overall the look should come out the same

As much as I love the technical aspects of these special super cars & exotics, I couldn’t help but also desire to see the other car in the studio brought to a dramatic revived state. I don’t recall seeing a video where you talk about the uniqueness of a convertible top. Keep up the great work. A joy of my Sunday morning🙂

This Ferrari is one of the most beautiful ever made. The lines are incredible, every angle is just right and gorgeous. Perfectly close to the ground, great stance, gorgeous rims, amazing roofline and two-tone, lovely materials. That Carbon is just heaven and that spoiler on the back is perfection. Where to stop, the perfection is never ending. Imagine how it is watching the car from up close. Work of art, hands down. Bare in mind that it was build in 2006. Hats of, much respect and appreciation for all the people involved at the time.
I am lucky enough to get to see this car on the road from time to time.....Always a pleasure to see it.

I use to work in detailing at dealerships and the first one I worked at the owner was big into cars so every now and then he would bring one of his cars to get a clean up. Always made my day. Mostly muscle cars like a 1967 GTO, 1970 GSX, 1969 Trans Am and a 2002 Firehawk just to name a few. I love detailing cars like that but I can only imagine what it is like to work on such a rare and amazing car. Great job!
