I think there can be some crazy relic builds you know that ??? perk that one is really interesting If you destroy it you keep the effect of it and you can use the glyph slot for something else. And the effect gives you a new relic everytime you run out of one so could basicly relic spam your brains out with a build like that. Wanna try that too now 😅 And thanks appreciate it! 🤝

This was painfull to watch on so many levels. 1: the amount of pirouettes almost triggered my ocd. 2: The spear in the poor trolls ass reminded me of a pretty painfull medical exam I went through once. Seriously, I had to drop to Prowess so it didn't take me a year to beat the story. Though I finally got to Tyr on Mastery yesterday! Died horribly, but still made it!
i was never comfortable with the king fight. he does all of the things i hate in the norse saga boss battles. keeps tripping me up to say the least. i would so have preferred gna. either way, prowess is probably my skill ceiling, realistically. that said, i gotta learn what you do there to cancel breath of thamur. the rewards seem so beneficial in valhalla, but like in both main games, i think the risk far outweighs them. i know that is not usually my jam, but it more than deserves to be broken, haha. god damn, i still cant believe THAT is one of the the runics that carried over from 2018.@@Tmo_201
@@TheRoyalRelease This run was my second time really fighting the king and my 1st time in ng+ so i felt the same but my build was kinda compensating for that. And runic cancels are a gamble ngl and trying to get the set up can be punishing you can see that at the valhalla's chosen encounter but even there i was able to parry when i went for the BoT cancel in the 1st second so the benefit still outweighs the negative for me even in a game mode like this. I wouldn't use the runic cancels if they wasn't some benefit here, same with glacial rake cancel + vengeful sickle at the start of the vid. It just does way more damage when you get a cancel and BoT CC for example is too crazy to not abuse it. Would recommend my BoT guidein the ragnarok guide playlist if you interested in the cancel itself BoT's runic cancel can be very weird If you get out of the animation too early you can even have a storm effect without damage. I was very surprised to see it back in Ragnarök too. Its my favorite cancel in the game i would say ❄️💥

I saw this then completed the game and I went back and it said seven valhallen chosen, after I just grinder all of Valhalla so I just watched you video
You should have it than. Try L3 or R3 at the stone tablet to change armors skins etc. Or do it in the main pause menu when you not playing valhalla but you need to collect some items from the smith chests to use the skins in a normal playthrough.
After every blade attack there is a timing to get a instant flame whiplash charge. The controller vibration will give you a signal when you need to press it that helped me to learn it. The best for it would be normal R1 or sprint R1 as set up.
So today i was trying to do this and got blasted by the secret boss. But i picked up something unique. After the 1st Door Challenge (Desert), i had the option to choose a perfect relic called Lost Memories.... I died sadly so i couldn't see what it did, but im curious if it gives you a secret cutscene.
Its a animation cancel. Im doing L2+R1->Dodge->Triangle->R1->L2+R1 (Tap L2 and hold R1 a second and let go) Its a very fast combination so it can take some time to get down. I might drop some guides about moves like that cause they can be really effective.
Imagine chilling there the whole day just to fight and than you get beat into a pulp for 4 minutes straight and kratos calls that his therapy, that fight was just funny 😂

Thats a recall runic cancel inputs would be: L2+R1->Dodge->Triangle->R1->L2+R2->Left Dpad+L1+R2->Triangle->L2+R2 Not easy to do though. I will link you guide that has a easier start method if you wanna learn more about it.
In my run I’ve learned most of the immolation gain skills, whiplash, and power of the empress is a major game changer with how fast u can apply status and gain cooldown on skills to keep stacking
That was probably a runic cancel. There is a tech where you can still do actions while the runic is going or cancel it to be more safe. I will link you a playlist of some guides if you interested to learn bout it. If you do i would suggest to start from the bottom video.

I have classic controlls and switched square with circle and my sprint is hold x. Its a weird set up but makes it feel more like devil may cry and i don't like to use the bumpers on attacks that you basicly spam. My exact config might also be in the description in more detail.
Good to know i will try it next blade run the problem i have with the buff is for one it needs a set up and using a runic instead of a fully charged whiplash move will make me lose cooldown so i always thought better a little bit less damage but more cooldown for runics to be ready. Most blade builds focus on the fully charged whiplash and wasting a charge probably seems less beneficial than using it for a buff but if its that strong it could be very decent to start a fight with it 👍
Its not that simple. Its a runic cancel where 2 animations overlap and create a way for you to get out of attacks or add attacks while doing them. If you're interrested search for "ragnarok runic cancel tutorial" on TH-cam
Dunno if you just talking about the burden challenge or show me mastery the whole dlc. This challenge was done pretty quick i would say about 10 tries. 3-4 hours. The whole dlc on show me mastery took way longer and i struggled a lot at 1st but the permanent upgrades helped a lot and made it easier to the end. Would say around 12-14 hours for the whole thing. I struggled a lot with tyr in the beginning.
I'm missing the rond of obliteration for my shield, and I think to get it you need to finish a Mastery run with the penalty, since I saw GBG do that and he got the shield rond. Do you have any further confirmation that this is how you unlock it?
I didn't got the king the 1st time doing the penalty so it wasn't a valid run for yt but if you do this you will get it after Tyr but you need to do everything with the burden. Im still missing the purification rond, curiuos bout that one
@@Tmo_201 So you have to do the boat, the desert, the forum and Tyr, right? You can't just skip to Tyr? And do you need to kill all 15 chosen, or just finish these challenges? I'm only missing the rond of obliteration and the rond of purification. I think you get the latter for finishing Mimir's and Sigrun's story, but also don't have confirmation since I haven't gotten there yet.
@@mht2315 Did that story and didn't get that rond im pretty sure the story ending is the reward + the obliteration one but i know for sure i got the rond after Tyr at the beach so yeah seems like you need to do all. To be fair i also tried always everything so i cant say for sure you might be able to make it easier or skip certain things. You can do a save though and test it If you in greece and have the minimum requirements. Suspend your run at the shop stone and upload your safe and you can reload that If you disable auto-sync in the saved data setting->sync saved data and there you can't disable that. And If you dont get the rond on minimum requirements you can just download the save data and continue going with max requirements. You can cheat the whole game mode like this, thats the reason why this is a full run without cuts
@@Tmo_201 thanks for the tips, but I'm definitely not cheating like that. I can already beat it on prowess, so I'll try moving to mastery and then using the burden if I get good enough at it. I've heard that mastery difficulty got easier after the latest update, but in any case I'll have to iterate and figure these intricacies out for myself.

You can upgrade to enter Valhalla with two resurrection stones instead of one I actually got killed three times and I probably picked up something and I didn’t notice because I spam the square button when I got killed twice and he revived who knows 🤷🏻
You can get 2 res stones permanent by upgrading on the blue stone tablet and you also have one res stone at the shop to buy so if you buy one you can die even 3 times 👍
So you're talking about Tyr than? The secret boss in this case would be King Hrolf and i think he needs some requirements before you can fight him but i could be wrong... Of course some ppl won't consider this is a secret but thats mostly because of their knowlegde of it but you could also have played the whole dlc, get 100% of the trophies and never fought the king once

How is it possible that a human can input so much stuff that it breaks the animations like that Breath of Thamur or that troll boss hahahah As soon I started doing runs for fun after beating the story I thought about someone doing this challenge, because I can't even beat Tyr by going cautiosly straight to him on the hardest difficulty, I clicked on this thinking I would watch someone play decent enough to do both doors and the forum (I couldn't even do the first bar of the Berserker boss) and then Tyr, but HOLY SHIT I was not expecting this lol You must have 10 fingers in each hand
So this is a challenge the developers of the game couldn't beat while testing this DLC. So after release they made the challenge public and that basicly started a bunch of challenge runs with the burden of breaching (a debuff that lowers your stats + HP drain) and it also needed to be on the hardest difficulty and the objective was to do everything in valhalla under these conditions and this was one run for it. This video got shared by a bigger TH-camr (GameBreakerGod) and the developer (Mihir Seth) that made the challenge public, thats probably one reason why its doing better than most other videos that are similar in terms of content. Only to give some extra context.
The difficulty is always in the top right corner. And yeah they tell you about the forum but not that there is the king of berserkers after defeating 2 normal berserkers. Thats what i meant with "secret" but i can see that people might take that as clickbait depends on your definition on it though.

I saw your vid and most things seem logical but i dunno bout odin being mimir. Not cause it doesn't make sense but i don't see them bringing odin into the next story. Most of your theories make a lot of sense if we stay in the norse pantheon though.
Tbh this gameplay is pretty mild when it comes to that, other videos from me are way "worse" when it comes to that. Mostly tried to play optimal here since that is what the mode is about but i can't understand that the movement might seem annoying but i just tried to be as fast as possible.
I hate this game…. I honestly really hate this hame. Such wasted potential. Seeing old enemies in this new combat style just makes me feel so bad about the wasted potential pf combat in this game
Why though? The story had some weak points for sure but the gameplay is peak. Especially valhalla is so good both story and gameplaywise. I think they redeemed a lot of what was bad in ragnarok with this DLC and it really shows that SMS hear the complains from the community but i can also see where you coming from. 3 games would've been my prefered choice too but i still think what we got was really good and i just love the gameplay more than anything so im pretty happy with it.
@@Tmo_201 ah man, it’s a step down from 2018a GOW in every way even that game had flaws. But Gameplay in these games and especially in Ragnarok pales in comparison to the originals, they could have made it better with Ragnarok but no they add attacks from faling from a platform amd blue attacks and remove most bare fist attacks and nerf magic…. Kratos is so nerfed in ragnarok it’s comical, and no aerial combat still… You can’t feel the god of war behind those strike’s anymore. (Grabs are satisfying) but you can’t interrupt the enemy with out using a shield or you just dodge and restart combo if it’s to the side, and the enemy just floats away from you until they turn to dust… there is no enjoyment to be had here, at least not for me. And the game was so so rushed, the ending was underwhelming that it genuinely made me feel so disappointed to see what my favorite franchise has turned into to. I expected more from a title called Ragnarok.

Go to options->gameplay
Than go one up and you will see "difficulty visualisation" near the top. Turn that on and it will display everything.

In my run I’ve learned most of the immolation gain skills, whiplash, and power of the empress is a major game changer with how fast u can apply status and gain cooldown on skills to keep stacking

That was probably a runic cancel. There is a tech where you can still do actions while the runic is going or cancel it to be more safe. I will link you a playlist of some guides if you interested to learn bout it. If you do i would suggest to start from the bottom video.

I don’t understand the constant fighting motions when out of combat
Just like to press buttons, keeps my brain engaged out of combat and in greece there is also a timer so it can be beneficial to be faster with some movement techs.

Edit: One little tip from me would be the description. Go with less hashtags everything above 3 is just filler and can even hurt the video cause youtube's picks 3 random ones of all you did as main hashtags and if their not fitting the vid it might be bad for the algorithm.
What confi on your control you have?
I have classic controlls and switched square with circle and my sprint is hold x. Its a weird set up but makes it feel more like devil may cry and i don't like to use the bumpers on attacks that you basicly spam. My exact config might also be in the description in more detail.
I still don’t know why people don’t use focus flame with runic attacks it is very worth it. It does insane amount of damage.
Good to know i will try it next blade run the problem i have with the buff is for one it needs a set up and using a runic instead of a fully charged whiplash move will make me lose cooldown so i always thought better a little bit less damage but more cooldown for runics to be ready. Most blade builds focus on the fully charged whiplash and wasting a charge probably seems less beneficial than using it for a buff but if its that strong it could be very decent to start a fight with it 👍

Its not that simple. Its a runic cancel where 2 animations overlap and create a way for you to get out of attacks or add attacks while doing them. If you're interrested search for "ragnarok runic cancel tutorial" on TH-cam
How long did it take you to beat Valhalla on this difficulty ? I'm not gone lie the hardest difficulty is very challenging but I'm having fun
Dunno if you just talking about the burden challenge or show me mastery the whole dlc.
This challenge was done pretty quick i would say about 10 tries. 3-4 hours. The whole dlc on show me mastery took way longer and i struggled a lot at 1st but the permanent upgrades helped a lot and made it easier to the end. Would say around 12-14 hours for the whole thing. I struggled a lot with tyr in the beginning.

1st i would do it with every weapon than maybe without perks but disabling skills too seems a bit overboard 😂

I'm missing the rond of obliteration for my shield, and I think to get it you need to finish a Mastery run with the penalty, since I saw GBG do that and he got the shield rond.
Do you have any further confirmation that this is how you unlock it?
I didn't got the king the 1st time doing the penalty so it wasn't a valid run for yt but if you do this you will get it after Tyr but you need to do everything with the burden. Im still missing the purification rond, curiuos bout that one
@@Tmo_201 So you have to do the boat, the desert, the forum and Tyr, right? You can't just skip to Tyr? And do you need to kill all 15 chosen, or just finish these challenges?
I'm only missing the rond of obliteration and the rond of purification. I think you get the latter for finishing Mimir's and Sigrun's story, but also don't have confirmation since I haven't gotten there yet.
@@mht2315 Did that story and didn't get that rond im pretty sure the story ending is the reward + the obliteration one but i know for sure i got the rond after Tyr at the beach so yeah seems like you need to do all. To be fair i also tried always everything so i cant say for sure you might be able to make it easier or skip certain things. You can do a save though and test it If you in greece and have the minimum requirements. Suspend your run at the shop stone and upload your safe and you can reload that If you disable auto-sync in the saved data setting->sync saved data and there you can't disable that. And If you dont get the rond on minimum requirements you can just download the save data and continue going with max requirements. You can cheat the whole game mode like this, thats the reason why this is a full run without cuts
@@Tmo_201 thanks for the tips, but I'm definitely not cheating like that. I can already beat it on prowess, so I'll try moving to mastery and then using the burden if I get good enough at it.
I've heard that mastery difficulty got easier after the latest update, but in any case I'll have to iterate and figure these intricacies out for myself.

You can upgrade to enter Valhalla with two resurrection stones instead of one I actually got killed three times and I probably picked up something and I didn’t notice because I spam the square button when I got killed twice and he revived who knows 🤷🏻
You can get 2 res stones permanent by upgrading on the blue stone tablet and you also have one res stone at the shop to buy so if you buy one you can die even 3 times 👍
Why does everyone keep getting penalty perk?
Its a challenge from the devs that everyone is trying. Also includes all burdens possible and all valhalla's chosen in greece.

The secret boss in this case would be King Hrolf and i think he needs some requirements before you can fight him but i could be wrong... Of course some ppl won't consider this is a secret but thats mostly because of their knowlegde of it but you could also have played the whole dlc, get 100% of the trophies and never fought the king once

As soon I started doing runs for fun after beating the story I thought about someone doing this challenge, because I can't even beat Tyr by going cautiosly straight to him on the hardest difficulty, I clicked on this thinking I would watch someone play decent enough to do both doors and the forum (I couldn't even do the first bar of the Berserker boss) and then Tyr, but HOLY SHIT I was not expecting this lol

So this is a challenge the developers of the game couldn't beat while testing this DLC. So after release they made the challenge public and that basicly started a bunch of challenge runs with the burden of breaching (a debuff that lowers your stats + HP drain) and it also needed to be on the hardest difficulty and the objective was to do everything in valhalla under these conditions and this was one run for it. This video got shared by a bigger TH-camr (GameBreakerGod) and the developer (Mihir Seth) that made the challenge public, thats probably one reason why its doing better than most other videos that are similar in terms of content. Only to give some extra context.

The difficulty is always in the top right corner. And yeah they tell you about the forum but not that there is the king of berserkers after defeating 2 normal berserkers. Thats what i meant with "secret" but i can see that people might take that as clickbait depends on your definition on it though.

Tbh this gameplay is pretty mild when it comes to that, other videos from me are way "worse" when it comes to that. Mostly tried to play optimal here since that is what the mode is about but i can't understand that the movement might seem annoying but i just tried to be as fast as possible.

Why though? The story had some weak points for sure but the gameplay is peak. Especially valhalla is so good both story and gameplaywise. I think they redeemed a lot of what was bad in ragnarok with this DLC and it really shows that SMS hear the complains from the community but i can also see where you coming from. 3 games would've been my prefered choice too but i still think what we got was really good and i just love the gameplay more than anything so im pretty happy with it.

@@Tmo_201 ah man, it’s a step down from 2018a GOW in every way even that game had flaws. But Gameplay in these games and especially in Ragnarok pales in comparison to the originals, they could have made it better with Ragnarok but no they add attacks from faling from a platform amd blue attacks and remove most bare fist attacks and nerf magic….
Kratos is so nerfed in ragnarok it’s comical, and no aerial combat still…
You can’t feel the god of war behind those strike’s anymore. (Grabs are satisfying) but you can’t interrupt the enemy with out using a shield or you just dodge and restart combo if it’s to the side, and the enemy just floats away from you until they turn to dust… there is no enjoyment to be had here, at least not for me.
And the game was so so rushed, the ending was underwhelming that it genuinely made me feel so disappointed to see what my favorite franchise has turned into to.
I expected more from a title called Ragnarok.
