I compress my worm and ground bait through a syringe which has the top cut off when on the canal lightly if there is little tow and tightly if the tow increases due to boats the syringe fits the pole pots perfectly
When they're not having it shallow, on those baker days worm on the deck for me is a go to method after mugging.. I was fishing a Match This qualifier at Larford and no-one was catching apart from the end pegs and flyers.. Next peg was Steve Baraclough and he was snaring the odd lump and ended up winning the section. Me being a complete git. Steve had a unit charge right through my swim and I left my rig in hoping he would snag my rig and he did... Steve wasn't too impressed but I got to see what he was doing, 0.8 gram float in 9-10ft, straight down to and olivette with two droppers fishing Dendros on the hook in 35- 40 degree temps..... That's not what they teach us on you tube...lol I've been breeding Dendras ever since!!!!!!
I like how he says deeper water, them errm what would you say rich? 3ft😂 my local pond is 5ft in the edge, love fishing worms though, they can be expensive, I built a DIY wormery, I can take half a kilo once sometimes twice a week for the price of a bit of effort.
Why doesnt jamie mark the depth on the pole? He says hes talked about this many times, i thought id seen every video on here and never heard him say why....
Too many variables for it to be accurate, having a fine tuner shot you know its on the line, if you change the tension of your elastic or anything like that it will effect where your float sits when you hook it up on the base of your top kit. Just another way of doing it.
Brilliant video JC THANKS

what about plastic lure worms.. are they effective
Stick to real worms unless you are lure fishing

In most commercials 3-6ft will be the deep water, obviously all relative to the venue, but they’re always exceptions to the rule 👍🏻
6:50 barbed hook Jamie 🤔?
It isn't a barbed hook.
It’s not barbed 😂 just a bit of worm gut or something probably
I fish a water in kent for bream, it’s 11’ deep, that’s what I call deep water 5-6 fairlly normal
