Episode 90: A New Place & a New Life 🐬💖

- Storms are a part of life, and with great storms come great change. Once the initial aftermath clears, the damage is assessed and the cleanup & healing process begins. The change that occurs can result in an even better and an even stronger environment. Sometimes, we just have to be patient and trust the process of life.
There was more than one storm that uprooted my world last year. It was very unforeseen, and the destruction was far worse than expected, much of it irreparable. Over the last several months, I have been able to rebuild, and move forward. My new life, business, and new family is now in Naples and Marco Island.
Starting over can be incredibly hard.
I’m working on trying to maintain some of my past, shelling and virtual shelling episodes, and incorporating that into my new future and will also be doing shell tours down on Marco Island with @marcoislandwatersports !
Enjoy this life update, and shelling from a neat new spot where we get to see some AWESOME finds such as a LIVE Albino Lightning Whelk, a GIANT Horse Conch, a Flat Scallop, Alphabet Cone, and even an egg casing from a Gaudy Nautica!

Laura, sooooo happy that you are doing well. I missed your videos and your sweet, bubblypersonality & informative tutorials over the past several months. Sorry to hear that you had to go through some major changes, but great to hear that you are in a wonderful new relationship! My husband is a disabled, retired Navy vet so was excited to hear about your business, as well. We are coming down to Coral Gables over Thanksgiving week with our adult daughters & grandkids (2)…hope to get out and do some shelling. Would love to meet you…maybe go out on your boat…my hubby has mobility issues so that sounds perfect. Glad to see your channel back up…look forward to seeing you more here!! Take care. 😍

Sometimes the changes come so something new can come in. That doesn’t mean that the changes won’t be hard or that the things or people you’ve lost mean any less, but it opens the doors for other opportunities to come into your life and bring you happiness that you hadn’t even imagined. Wishing you many blessings! So glad to hear that you are doing well! And wow! That’s awesome that you are helping to provide accessible tours! My mom has some mobility issues and she loves to go places but after several hip and knee replacements and getting into her 70’s, I would worry about her trying to board a boat that doesn’t have a ramp. She could probably manage, but I would be a nervous wreck. 😂 In all seriousness though, that’s a wonderful thing and I love that you are providing free of charge for disabled veterans. My dad and many others in my family have served, and thankfully all came home safely. I’m sure that it means so very much for the veterans you have given this wonderful opportunity to be recognized for their service and their sacrifice.

Oh goodness Laura, I was just checking yesterday to see if I missed you by chance. I am so sorry you’ve gone through a huge ordeal. But I must say, you sound wonderful and sound like you are doing much better. I thank God He has brought you through that. I will pray for you and your business. I also appreciate so much what you do for breast cancer patients. I am a breast cancer patient along with leukemia. I am doing well. Everyday you can face a struggle, but God is faithful to bring us out of it with a victory.
And I so appreciate the accessibility with your boat. I have mobility struggles and use a wheelchair often. If I were ever in your area, I’d definitely look you up. Thank you to both of you for that thoughtfulness.

I know there will be some tough "valley" days and some awesome mountain highs but through it all I know He is with me and that is a blessing in itself. House with pool and dock. Renting a boat for 3 days. Do you have any suggestions or heard who’s the best company to rent a boat from? No worries, just asking. Omg❣ I was so very afraid life/hurricane got to you. So very gratefull it has not❣ You have been a light of calmness for me everytime i watch. God's gift to me is how i view it, so amazing the feeling of listening to you. Learning the water's way, of shelling, scenery, its a blessing listening at nite after a rough day of stress. Thankyou for that. My life has changed too. Here's a thought: perhaps you could do clips of what all you do with your beauty business. The eyebrows n whatnot. I have seen a few videos from others, mostly they are ftom other countries like in Asia/Eroupe. Something to checkout n tailor to your liking of how it appeals to selfcare. Many reasons why women or men deal with certain issues. I have a g-son with a unibrow that he hates, but doesnt go to get it professionally taken care of. Embarrassment i think, but you could give advice/technique/n the right way why to care of such. Just a thought i'ld share. Love ya, honey❣🥰 < Hugs

I have been popping in occasionally to see if any kind of status update had been posted and to rewatch some of my favourite videos you've done. Question: When trying to preserve the sand collar egg casing are you hoping to preserve the texture too or mainly the shape/look?
