I'm enjoying my Flail build but have not gotten to the team, tier level yet. 1 month ago this game was so low on people I just remade a character to change up the vibe.
im running a Flail + BB pvp build and i muchly prefer Barrage/Smite/Trip coz ur right Trip on its own is very hard to land BUT Smite into Trip is pretty easy and i land it pretty much everytime and then i can continue slamming into the knocked down target with the flail or do a big BB burst which is really nice.. so dont miss out on Trip its very good after Smite in pvp
Duke, dont need to hit the first attack to use follow up.. so 20%/35% damage increase will be nice on that ability against someone with grit :D so id say, in pvp 20% increase if it works on both attacks its pretty nice
Warding Bludgeon is an AOE taunt within an 8m radius like Defender's Resolve if you have a carnelian gem slotted in. Barrage however needs to make contact to taunt monsters.
Is medium loadout viable for tanking? I've always used heavy but haven't played in awhile and noticed the medium head artifact. what armor loadout is suggested?
I did around 7-8 hours on PTR opr . And I lvled on live whit focus and Lifestaff but telling you honestly that weapon is a Big Fail ..the Flail 😅 no damage to be a threat for others. And no healing to keep your self or people alive a rest of mini buffer is useless . In theory so good but on live is trash. So Disappointed! For tanking pve is same ..trash no extra taunt no extra mitigaton ...only just 6-8 buff or 3 hit ?? Whit 20 sec Cd. You can do better whit a Great Sword .
Thanks for the video! :) I used Barrage so far, I thought a 2nd taunt might be important... But Ill try your build :) So a Gem in Odo would be best as PvE tank? What do you think about Stopwatch in combination? We dont need a Carnelian Gem then?!
Yeah, as a PvE tank I'd definitely recommend adding a gem slot for a Carnelian! Stopwatch unfortunately doesn't have the same threat multiplier as Carnelian, so it'll be incredibly difficult to hold aggro against competent DPS players.
I played 10x M2 today, 5x with your Flail build. Iam not so sure about that, hmm... Bosses often running out of the Arcane Smite area and all the buffs/debuffs doesnt feel THAT good... The selfheal is pretty... "meh"... ^^ I dont have any weapon perks now, maybe that helps. But "Better Together" feels pretty weak compared to "Human Shield"... I dont know, if a tank should go so deep into the left tree of Flail... My runs were with randoms and everyone still missing stuff that helps the team. Maybe its a good build for Speed Runs, if you dont focus a lot on being tanky. But idk...^^
I'm not sure which loot boxes you're referring to specifically, but assuming you mean general PvP loot, you can still get tags from attacking, which you probably will be doing for Refreshing Move procs. That said, as a healer in PvP I would highly recommend running with a group. You get easier tags and have an easier time healing your group.
Looking over the perk tree for flail, i think its in a league of its own compared to other perk trees. Its way more chiseled than other weapons.

Absolutely nothing for healers no artifact, no decent drop staff only the ability to spend time and money to respect a 650 drop.
Y it sucks. They should really have focused on making healing more engaging
You just don't know how to make a build. I'm healer and the flail is insane in light with featherweight and no shield.
