Im going to make a build like this... but im also making a "cleric build" so far it runs great in mutations 1..but its a healer off tank build. In case the tank is shitty
Hello ! I have been playing paladin (solo Tank+Heal) this whole week in M3 Dynasty and managed to get a run in 16:43 (top 2 on my server) even though it was our first week trying it out, and with 1 pug everytime. Great video and gl trying it Here are my thoughts/advices on my build compared to yours, on what I found out while experiencing it : - I go round shield and Nimble Coat artifact just because I never ever block, I just dodge, but your builds seems correct too, as you get the 5% CDR from kite shield, I like nimble coat to have my CDs on heal early enough - I think Ankh is a mistake here, you need your outgoing heal to be maximum for your team to stay alive (need blessed on LS too, more than RM). Been playing with Health+Protection on amulet and Blooddrinker ring to have a ton of lifesteal and stay alive easily - I have 5 Health + 5 Enchanted Ward which feels needed - Mending Vortex is a need as you have, but you are missing out the Bludgeon perk, which is massive and completely OP for the build. Makes you able to basically never lose aggro, get permanent fortify and boost your allies, as well as getting grit all the time. It's super big. Try it - I play beacon rather than Splash of Light, cause its animation is too long, and you need super fast heals - I play eruption on flail rather than the barrage, which I feel is a cool spell but can be a problem sometimes, I just prefer having a bit more heal/weaken/boosts with eruption, and I dont need a second taunt spell as I have my Bludgeon all the time (playing as 150str / 300foc / 150con but you can tweek this as you feel) Have fun with this build, 100% the most fun I had as a tank in a while, and probably the future if it doesn't get nerfed.
So in Elder Scrolls Online I would run a Paladin build for 4-man dungeon content and it was the same thing here. Things could get scary but the extra dps really helped the overall burn. Hit speed runs with groups with that build so excited to see it in New World.
An interesting way I've been testing this is with greatsword, his defensive stance blocks while you do heavy attacks. You save the problem of the shield, in medium category with the void armor you reach 2k armor. Using Trenchant recovery on the greatsword helps with survival. Using heals that don't require targeting helps keep the group alive more easily. PD: I also use the lost timer so I don't have to use carnelian on the greatsword and can make it scale with focus. 300 focus and constitution.
Nice video - as always. Just a couple suggestions on the flail side. Because you're the tank and healer, you should drop the barrage line entirely, and human shield. Put one point into trip, so you can knock down groups. So, you will just have 8 points in bastion: Vital Suppressant, Trip, Reductive Superiority, Warding bludgeon line, Mitigated Protection and Reinforced Vitality. On the cleric side - pick everything but smite and arcane eruption lines. The better together will give you aggro from heals passively. Also, if you can find a flail with hated, and crowded bludgeon, and use a energized carnelian gems on it - to hex everything you hit. Blocking right after the bludgeon strike also debuffs the mobs. Your way works great too, not saying it doesn't, but its hard to hold aggro with a flail without the hate perks on everything.
we need a new update build on paladin tank...any suggestion if i decided to go with sword n shield as main n using flail as my utilities n self healing?
I’ve been playing Paladin for a few months now, it’s a fun build and I’ve helped out many people that’s got themselves into trouble in the open world. :) I’d like to see a FS+SnS build for tanking. Incinerate is a taunt and heal and with Flame thrower for applying burning ticks to give fortify is good, with maybe burnout so you can get out of tricky spots, reposition or maybe so you can get through mobs so you can range aggro an archer that’s the other side of the mobs you’re currently attacking. Fun fun fun! I really want the Inferno artefact that scales with strength for this. :) I do hope they bring out more interesting weapon combos for the stats.
You know I’m going to get my Son into playing New World and I feel like I might run this so that I can keep him alive and let him go full dps. Thanks for the build video.
I like splash if you have purifying breeze on the LS since PB procs off of clensing a debuff, which splash can do. Splash also helps w/ ranged players not within LoS.
Going for heals + dps with the flail link to share damage taken with your tank should work too right. That’s what I’m going for, a dps build that has good dps output that can debuff mobs and take some damage away from the tank/ other dps’s
I like the way you think. My company and I try crazy builds and no so good scenarios to get more out of the game. For example we've ran gorg with green gear a few times..yet to complete it with green but getting closer. The last time we had to many range players but think we can do it. We had an avg GS of 645 which normally is over kill for gorg but it was fun. We are going to try sandworm with blue gear next..this pally build is intriguing I am going to mess with this set up myself.
i've played paladin in m1 to m3. from 1 to 2 it feels like a breeze, easy enough and you can play whatever, m3 is for sure the real deal, it's not easy and you get hit a LOT because you are on medium armor
Equipment sets is a storage of its own. Once you build and save a set it saves in the sets tab itself. So you carry all sets with you without it applying to your carried weight essentially.
Not gonna lie, i started a week ago, wanted to do a paladin build, realized healing scaled with focus and I couldn't do that with a sword and shield. Now I see the flail and am like "😮😮 it's possible!"
Yeah, but the drop rate isnt that bad and you can choose any perk you want for the last one. But prepare Health perk costs 170k per mod or choose other. This gear reset isnt that bad as it looks at first, now legendaries drop easier and 680+ gs isnt rare.
pug m1 could work, farmed depths artifact yesterday took me hrs just to get ppl together. Prime time ppl seem to rather do chest runs or (understandable) war and invasions.
Can't wait for the text guide to that build 🥰 Do you know when it will be ready? Looks really nice 😊 have my first character on 65 and will definitely give this a try 🎉
Great video! Just wondering how come you didn’t go full or in the cleric tree? IF new world is fine with palidin they could add a palidin dps check. Where the palidin heals for a % of the dmg his team does in his area as well. Big if though.
@@igBartics depending on how the cooldown management works. Should have 2x the healing abilities in play. Potentially better tank abilites up more often too
With power stone and enchanted Ward on all pieces, maybe even the attuned leather pants for extra stats, this build could be more viable than ever. Medium leather with enchanted Ward is very tanky. Add fortify on potion use, you can get another cool down that increases mitigation. I have farmed several full sets with enchanted Ward, so I might test this out. One of the biggest issues with this build, is that it misses out on a lot of healing as a result of trying to get tanking abilities. Does anyone know if human shield mitigates damage with enchanted ward? This could be a problem

Would need best in slot gear to do it, but I don’t think there’s a reason to do m3 s currently anyways, this for m2 or under is some of the quickest runs out there right bow
Cool content bro! I'm a new player, not even a month into the game. But i'm at max level already, playing life staff in our party but flail and shield solo. We're mostly doing PVE content. This build (gear, skills, etc.) looks like it's going to be very fun in PVE. Any advice for newbies who may want to try this tank/healer build? Thanks!
Paladin is more of a "Heal-less Tank", so team healing is not possible. You need multi-hit spells after popping Flail Spells for massive lifesteal. This makes "Spin to Win" Great Axe a better 2nd weapon. *[Flail + Lifestaff] only works as [DPS + Healer] build.* *Based on Theory Crafting.* There's only 2 Option 1st is DPS Healer, and 2nd Heal-less Tank
i think tanking stats are poorly designed currently in different builds. Because if you do not block your perks negate 0% of the damage. While Only tower shield reduces Raw incoming damage by 5%, then only SnS has an ability which reduces another 20% of Raw damage. Opossite of that. Flail doesnt have any perks that reduces Incoming Raw damage, we end up with Fortification buff which isnt exactly effective for tanking, You can run Light Greatsword build as a tank if you know how to correctly do skill sequence, and when to block, and when to change weapns...
Haha, that's a fun build. But yeah I'm 100% it wouldn't work in M3, you would have died in so many places there if it was M3. Like the 3 bosses and the dogs etc, M3 hits so much harder than M10s used to. I think if it was still the old M10s this COULD have worked if played to perfection, but not in the M3s we have now. Nonetheless, looks like a really fun build and you can use this to speedrun M2 for easy dark matter!
Doesn’t the ankh just nullify the entire concept for this? I’ve been running paladin for a while and I never considered ankh as it just destroys your healing output
the heals are mainly for himself which is incoming heals. outgoing heals are to teammates. if teammates arnt taking damage then it wont matter so it doesnt nullify anything
@@preemptivefaceplant5277 Pretty sure it also applies to heals towards yourself. Outgoing heals still affect how much you receive if you heal yourself with it. Which is why light armor life staff users dont put any stats into incoming healing and still receive the full bonus of all their stats.

Why nature resistance gems?? Is not better to use opals for resistance to all magic? I'm a casual player, so don't pay much attention if I said something dumb... hahah
if enemies are doing nature damage to you. and the nature gems you have block 5% each but the block to all magic is 3% per gem. why would you do the block to all magic? mutations change damage to a specific element. so you get more damage reduction from blocking that specific damage.
ปีที่แล้ว
@@preemptivefaceplant5277 but that forces you to change your gems every time you do a different dungeon ... maybe if you're a hardcore player is ok, but for casual people that a ton of money ...
@ it's been this way since the beginning. Damage hits harder when you go to higher difficulty. M1 you should be ok with all element gems but m2 and m3 it's better to get element specific. Yes it's more specific but thats what you got to do.

@@preemptivefaceplant5277 I've done a lot of M2 with opals without any problem... I guess M3 yes, because it's intended for hardcore gamers and it's very hard... but for most of the people, specially casual people as me, min maxing is not mandatory
They nerfed her all attacks, as a tank i could literally kill her with lifesteal and regeneration without a healer. Didn't try her after expansion doesn't look like much changed. And yeah tanking both dogs isn't a good idea especially with medium set.

how many magnify can u use so u can reach ur desired stats? because i think magnify is sh!t and broken
I think this build is perfect for pvp
maybe heavy for m3, should be possible
heavy has reduced healing so he wouldnt get enough heals
Interesting build ,but no chance on m3s
Would need best in slot gear to do it, but I don’t think there’s a reason to do m3 s currently anyways, this for m2 or under is some of the quickest runs out there right bow
Cool content bro! I'm a new player, not even a month into the game. But i'm at max level already, playing life staff in our party but flail and shield solo.
We're mostly doing PVE content. This build (gear, skills, etc.) looks like it's going to be very fun in PVE. Any advice for newbies who may want to try this tank/healer build? Thanks!
Cool.
I like it
Paladin is more of a "Heal-less Tank", so team healing is not possible.
You need multi-hit spells after popping Flail Spells for massive lifesteal. This makes "Spin to Win" Great Axe a better 2nd weapon.
*[Flail + Lifestaff] only works as [DPS + Healer] build.*
*Based on Theory Crafting.* There's only 2 Option
1st is DPS Healer, and 2nd Heal-less Tank
wait.i guess queue as tank and tell the healer to take a hike :D
i think tanking stats are poorly designed currently in different builds. Because if you do not block your perks negate 0% of the damage. While Only tower shield reduces Raw incoming damage by 5%, then only SnS has an ability which reduces another 20% of Raw damage. Opossite of that. Flail doesnt have any perks that reduces Incoming Raw damage, we end up with Fortification buff which isnt exactly effective for tanking,
You can run Light Greatsword build as a tank if you know how to correctly do skill sequence, and when to block, and when to change weapns...
Love the wild ideas but m3 gonna get smoked at that first crawler pack.
„If this works out I“ll post it on TH-cam“
Watching on TH-cam: hello? Spoiler alert! 😛
They nerfed her all attacks, as a tank i could literally kill her with lifesteal and regeneration without a healer. Didn't try her after expansion doesn't look like much changed. And yeah tanking both dogs isn't a good idea especially with medium set.
"m2" "not difficult" I've had the complete opposite experience with that. Full group of 695 plus and I can only get bronze
But ankh takes away your healing to others, idk if thats good. It's better to run stopwatch and put real gems into weapons
Probably doesnt work at higher difficulties
This would be better with a sword and shield... by far more effective for agro and defense. No need for damage at all. Flail is a meh Tank weapon
Doesn't scale with focus at all tho. Not going to keep aggro if you're hitting with a wet noodle and not also pumping big heals
the point is both scale on focus
É a build do Holytank, nada de novo
Hats off to you. Each to there own but im amazed you can play so much. I get bored after half hour of playing and the new dlc was such a let down.
think it helps when you have friends and you are also being paid to basicly play
