    Down to earth, honest stuff here, that's why I keep watching, 5.7 2017 charger here. I'm on the fence with a cam and converter, or nitrous. If I go cam, I'm gonna go max effort tho, I seen u got the .5 cam, what made u go with a mild cam?

    • @FrostbiteRam
      @FrostbiteRam  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the support 🤘🙏 I went .5 hl because I'm still on the factory converter and also because it has lots of low end torque. Most other cams require a big stall to make up for the loss of torque down low.

    I'm waiting on my cam from jay greene right now . I'm going to tackle the job myself. And your right in the money with cost . It was 1400 for the cam , around 6 or 7 for the pcm/ i3 tuner and 500 for the HC lifters then on top of that the fluids and gaskets .

    Just started on replacing cam and lifters do to lifter failed. What a bitch. Exhaust manifold bolts broken flush on both heads. So today I drop them off to be taken out and Resurfaced. Lots of work. Got shorty headers coming. Also doing the V6 fan. So far I’m about $2500-$3000. Can’t wait till I have everything put back together and up and running.

      @FrostbiteRam  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hear ya,personally if I had a 392 I would forge the pistons and due cam at the same time the 392 is a little more fragile than the 345. A cam will improve the 392 but wont be a huge difference the 392 flows very well already. I would save for forged pistons and boost🤘🔥💨

    Yup I kept changing my mind about what to do next. I just need a couple of things to be full bolt-on. I couldn't decide on the cam or supercharger. I feel like I could do the cam install my self. I've changed out clutches and injectors on my 06 cummins so I feel like I could handle the swap with some Instructions of course. But I think I'll just keep saving for the supercharger. I really want a whipple but I've heard guys say to go procharger instead. That the whipple is too hard on our 5.7 engines? Thanks man love the content and happy new year!
