    It is very rare ( or probably non existent) that anyone explains the concept of vocal health, warmups,,, voice culture, vocal registers and classical in the manner that you do and then translate this into how they can be used to get the desired end product i.e singing.
    Hats off to you on your mission and no doubt millions of aspiring singers will benefit from and be thankful to you for explaining this in very plain language full of humility .🙏🏻

    Am 62 and am a novice , but..very passionate about singing. Very happy to find an ideal guru..., though young..with rich experience in the realm of both carnatic & film music. Have been watching your videos for about 2 years., through which , the listeners are getting nuggets of valuable tips , conveyed effectively through your chaste English..in your own inimitable, enchanting style. Kudos to you.
    And, the doubt that's pulling me back is.., whether I can learn music systematically and impress the audience.., should the day come..,if at all..,but, the dream remains elusive since long, which, I wonder I realise or not in my life.

    I would like your advice on how to manage or warm up in a gathering if someone asks you to sing and you weren't prepared for that

    • @VoxGuru
      @VoxGuru  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I recommend warmups as a daily routine regardless of whether you are going to sing that day or not. That ensures your voice is generally in good health always, and if you suddenly have to sing you don't find it too difficult. If you do this regulary, then you can manage without warmups at gatherings. Just drink some water, hum the tune a bit so that your voice is ready and then start.

    Hello, i am a professional singer i use my voice daily, so I recently got to know that i have some issues with my vocal cords..the issue is called sulcus and it causes strain in voice, can’t sing more than half n hr.. so there is no solution for this problem doctor suggested voice therapy and i am following it but i still have the issue. Please give some tips if you know to overcome this problem.

    • @VoxGuru
      @VoxGuru  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry to hear that! Unfortunately I'm not qualified to treat physiological issues in the throat as my methods are mostly preventative in nature. Would suggest you continue to follow your doctor's advice and avoid singing for a while until your vocal cords are back in shape.

    Number 5 is applicable to me mam. I have been trying to do warm ups now. But question- how to know when your voice is ready to sing after warm ups? Is it based solely on comfort and good feeling on your voice?
    I also want to know how long singing is considered good, assuming your are practicing without music(meaning no breaks for background music from karaoke) and you are singing song with high notes?

    • @VoxGuru
      @VoxGuru  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You will feel an overall comfort where the low and high notes feel equally easy without much effort. That's when you are ready to start singing. If your technique is good you can sing even for 2-3 hours without strain. I don't recommend singing high notes continuously. You have to keep balancing your singing with low notes too else your vocal cords will get stretched quickly and you will not be able to sing for more than half an hour.

    • @VoxGuru

      Yes, in those kind of songs they use a technique called belting. It sounds like they are shouting but actually it’s very controlled power and they are not straining their voice.

    • @VoxGuru
      @VoxGuru  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Would suggest to get medical help with this, as I am not qualified to treat this issue. My advice is usually preventative. But I’m sure with the right medical help you can gradually reverse things. Ensure you are not straining your voice further during this period.

    1)Ma'am, I experience dizziness and a sensation of tightness in my head when I sing high-pitched songs. It feels like my entire brain is under pressure for a while.
    2)By practicing, can I really reach those high notes like Sid Sriram?

    • @VoxGuru
      @VoxGuru  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hope you are not singing only high notes continuously :-) Make sure you balance it out with your low notes otherwise you will end up straining your voice. Each singer has a unique vocal texture, so try to get professional guidance on how your voice works and how to produce low and high notes through your voice.
