Regarding the tip tanks, look up wing bending relief and you'll see tip tanks actually make a cantilever wing stronger. That's why you can increase 200 pounds of takeoff weight when they have a certain amount of fuel in them.
Little tab under the right wing is more than likely a switch to turn on and off the Hobbs Meter at a pre determined speed like 100 knots The tab on the aileron is a fixed trim tab used for rigging the roll tendencies out I believe
I prefer low wing singles but the utility of the 210 makes it the best 6 seater single I have flown...owned 210L & N models... Plus, if you are a tall pilot, (6-6), 210 is the most comfortable to fly!
Man, I would LOVE to get my hands on one of those. As a 172 driver with some previous complex experience, I'm sure I could fly one just fine with the probable 5 hours dual time with a qualified 210 pilot.
Pretty bird! I believe that tab on the aileron is the aileron trim tab and it's ground adjustable. I assume that the switch on the right wing is an ice detector.
Grew up flying a T210/M. Loved it! Only wish it had an additional 30+ knots of speed and engine of some of them were known to cut out from shock cooling or other engine ceasing issues.
I'd go far enough to say that they're the best overall single piston! The Bonanza crowd is going to lose their marbles, but I've done a few cross-country trips in a Bo and the cabin comfort just simply does not compare. With the 210 six seats means it's a true four place plane. Unlike most four seaters which are really a two-seater. Good speed, great solid handling, and a flexible CG range with good performance figures. There are very few things that could be improved, if any.
I've got to agree with you. They're so versatile and comfortable, while still being fast. Definitely the one I'd buy if money wasn't too much of an object. I'd love an R model but would happily settle for an N! We need to get a Bonanza on the channel to compare... (and keep the Bo crowd happy) - Ash
The 210 is a very nice flying machine, and is a great upgrade from the 172-177-182. The pressurized version, with full de-ice makes a significant tool.
Personally I prefer a low wing type. I would rather have a Cherokee 6 or ,budget permitting, a Saratoga. I would also give thought to some of the smaller twins, Cessna 310 or a Baron can be found for similar money.
6:42 For it to be a good 6 seater you actually have to be able to get in the back seats. I don't see how a cockpit door is better than the large double door in the Saratoga for loading stuff. 9:30 I disagree, you need to bring a ladder to get gas and the wings fall off, can't use the high wing in the bush b/c the fear isn't much stronger if at all to the pa32
If you get a nice corporate hangar. Beautiful white floors. Well lit. Have a Bonanza A-36TC and the 210. Open the double doors of the Bonanza. The wife says. Oh, we can take the mountain bikes with. The husband says. Next month when we take the three grandkids to Disney world. Then they can fold out the tables and play with their Lagos. Oh yes, hoping Across the South Pacific from Ca. Glad we installed those top tanks.
Best value for money today are the ‘64-66 years. Most people want the strutless wing, but you can avoid the spar AD with the strutted models. While still carrying “6” people. The jump seats are really more for children, but I don’t know many people who need to transport 6 adults. Even if they did, useful load is such that fuel capacity would be too low to go anywhere will the seats full. Love the 210
Good tip! I’ve got to agree, those rear seats aren’t really a great spot for 2x adults. Not awful if it’s just the one adult but regardless - much better suited to kids. Would be great to avoid that Wing Spar AD. I’d hate to think how difficult and expensive it would be to source a replacement if you did find corrosion in the spar…
all incorrect. Stretching is a key factor in limiting injury and strengthening the body, there are strength stretching exercises the Chinese have been doing for thousands of years.

I've had my '78 T-120M for 17 years....Love it!
I’m jealous. I love T210s, especially M and N models (and Rs)
No landing gear issues? I'm thinking about purchasing one.
Nice video.... thanks! Subscribed.

Hmmm interesting, I’ll have a read. Thanks for the tips!
I thought the same with that comment, then realized he’s likely only an enthusiast and not a professional pilot.
Hey everyone, if you enjoyed this video - check out our Piper Saratoga video where we actually fly it! - Ash

Great plane for tall pilots!!
Agreed!
In Namibia all safari companies still use the C210
In Australia too!

Beauty! Thanks for the tips. I suspect you are correct
@@DeadstickAdventures be aware that I am not 100% sure 😉
Maybe other people can verify it. Perhaps the Cessna 210 pilot's operating handbook (POH)
Probably a better guess than mine - I initially thought it might be an airswitch sensor.
Thanks for the tour! I could live without the constant background music but I'm not going to ding you on that.
Noted! Thanks for watching :)

Button sideways smashed 👍
Legend
Love 210’s and aldinga. Flew 250 hrs from there in a beaut 210n with less than 1000 hrs. Sadlly, after we sold it the next owners crashed it.
Aldinga is a beauty of a spot. Shame to hear about the fate of yours. N models are beautiful
Best single engine aircraft. I flew every model from 1976-1980. I flew them from a 2,200ft runway. (Ramapo valley airport) . Tag flight .
Very nice! Beautiful planes

That’s a fair comment. Personally I love the high wing, mostly for the shade in summer!
A 310 might cost a similar amount but you'll have twice the fuel burn, twice the maintenance and all that for 5-10 knots more cruise speed.
If weight and balance is important to you, take a look at the Saratoga. They are surprisingly thin in that regard
Nice Plane
It sure is! Thanks for watching
1:50 That is the only thing I don't like when they have trust.
Wouldn’t it be great if Cessna started producing these again

Salam from Kyrgyzstan Republic 🇰🇬, how much cost this cessna?
Hello, I’m unsure what it sold for but they’re normally a few hundred thousand AUD
Believable .. I guess an A36 is significantly more expensive.
A B55 seems perfect to me.
Love a B58.
Could settle for a C182.
Always love a Mooney:-).
