The other advantage with the flaps, as like with all other high wing Cessna’s is that they are slotted flaps; which help greatly with lift on takeoff. Essentially the flaps are an extended airfoil within an airfoil when increasing wing surface area.

Absolutely love the C-210L with cantilever wings. Even with it's flaws, it's still a good flying wing. Just have to keep up on the extra inspections required to make sure everything is in good shape. Great info throughout the video. The only criticism would actually be the focus. I was really interest in the engine monitor, but it was pretty much all totally out of focus. Making it very difficult to evaluate. Either way, it was still a very good and through video.

@Vova Platonov Piper 6-300 is a good airplane. But 210 is much better -especially if it is a 1970 and newer model. Only direct competitor to 210 is Bonanza A36. 235 is not comparable to 210, That's comparable to a 182. Lycoming can't run lean of peak, so they burn more fuel with the bigger engines in those.
Glad the video helps. I am working to make a full history and model progression video soon for 210, please subscribe to the channel so you won't miss it.
Thank you for your comment. It is good to look at the spar on them but I have seen 210s with over 25,000hours airframe. Airframe failures are extremely rare. On the few occasions where they do fail it is possible the pilot was a heavy contributing factor.
AeroRanger The soar issue is impacting much of the fleet. Across all brands. Sad to think the time is coming that aviations standard bearers might be nearly passed.
Excellent review on the Cessna 210-L Thank You. I can tell you love for the 210 is very strong. After all this is an awesome aircraft and one that a lot of pilots dream of owning one day. Have you done something like this for the Cessna 180/185? Or will you do one in the future.
Cessna 210 is in its own league - useful load is close to light twins - if you have an IO-550 upgrade it will improve the performance and efficiency even more.
@@aerolife1646Would one of the new small turbine engines be more efficient and reliable than a piston and run on Jet A that's available at more airports?
Thanks for the comment. We will try our best to create detailed videos. A while back when I want to buy my first plane I couldn't find the details I needed anywhere so I thought it would be helpful to have detailed videos for people to get an overall understanding of a plane.
The 2012 AD inspection was done. The current service bulletin is not required for part 91 but I assisted an IA in a basic visual inspection through the headliner because of the long flights we were taking and the surface looks very clean.
We always appreciate good suggestions. If you have time please watch one of our latest videos to see if the problem still exists and what shutter speed do you recommend?
@@aerolife1646 I saw your Cessna 182J review and your cameraperson seems to have fixed it. He/she basically needs to change the shutter speed until there is no more flickering (I cannot tell you which shutter speed you should use, because I would need the refresh rates of the instruments which flicker). This should preferably be done with an external monitor hooked up to the camera.
A&P's call these "Tangel foot" as 17 sequential switches in gear doors and gear involved. Hard to find a used one that has not been bellied in for gear failure. Expect to pay through the nose at annual time and hope you don't have a pressurized one or air conditioned....Money Pit....
Given that this review is a couple years old, you probably won't answer this question, but at the beginning you stated that this was a normally aspirated engine, but during your review of engine compartment, I heard you mention that it has balanced fuel injectors. Isn't "normally aspirated" another way of saying "carbureted"? Thanks in advance.
Oh waw!! That Cessna actually flies that fast on 75% power? Really incredible to say the least. I wonder what’s the maximum reachable speed at 100% power output?!.......🤔
210 flys fast. T210 even faster. Non turbo's 100% power can be obtained close to sea level and lower temperatures. With higher air density full power may not produce the max speed. Full power is also limited to 5 minutes in this model.

Normally aspirated vs Turbo-charged (or Turbo-Normalized). Carbureted vs. Fuel-Injected. Hope that helps.
