Just seeing that Fractalus screen really takes me back. I had this on the Atari 800XL. It looked exactly the same. I remember sitting in my grandparent's house in Houston, and it's raining cats and dogs like it often did, and I'm playing this ridiculous game while my grandmother brings me tacos. She wouldn't quit making them, but I wasn't complaining, haha. I do miss her.

I have played the remake of Fractalus ... It is now exactly like the picture on the original box and how we imagined it back then :)
VR mode is stunning and very eerie. Actually being inside the game from 40 years ago is very nostalgic with an instant memory of me sat in front of my C64 imagining this was how it looked in my head .. Almost brought a tear to the eye.
I'd love to try the VR mode one day 👍
Normally i don't play on the PC bit i couldn't resist Fractalus and loaded it down...what an awesome and atmospheric port, absolutely stunning! 👍👍😉
Yeah its super cool , pretty much how you imagined it as a kid but the hardware didnt allow it to be that impressive until now 🕹️🤜

It's that simple and yet, most fail to mention, maybe even realize that classic Sonic games usually starts out on nature and it goes to free the captive animals and the chaos emeralds symbolize human greed that brings suffering and destroys nature along the way, Sonic usually ends up on totally industrial/mechanical stages, making all that even more clear.
It was the 90's alright, still, Sonic changed over time, today, fan service is all over the place, lacks originality and everything seems more like a celebration of past glories than anything.
I see people praising Sonic Mania, it's OK, a 16-bit celebration of the original classic titles, but for me, Sonic 1 through Sonic 3&K, anything else is basically an extension to them.
Keep up the good work. Here is another boost to keep you going.
