Yeah I’m a Liverpool fan originally from West Yorkshire and my brother is an avid Leeds fan. I felt bad for them when we hammered them last week. Without Phillips and Bamford they’re really struggling. Those 2 are so important for how they play. No question about it, injuries to key players like Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper, and Junior Firpo have severely damaged Leeds this season. They simply don’t have quality replacements, and also with their pressing style and the fact that scoring less goals up front, and conceding plenty at the back. Marcelo is still the same manager, but with key players missing, they were always going to struggle. Look at what happened to Liverpool last season, and they have a far bigger and better pool of players to choose from! Marcelo will always be a true Leeds legend!
Bielsa sticks to his principles to the bitter end and changes the game along the way. And doesn’t need gobs of money to do it. His approach is a marvelous combination of determination, innovation and sacrifice. He is a footballing genius and Leeds will forever be lesser without him.

Leeds could have gotten back to the Premier a year prior, if it wasn't because of Bielsa. He always made good teams play bad. Watch Bilbao or Lille (which is funny, BOTH teams without Bielsa, qualified for international cups, something they never did with him as manager....in fact, Lille with the same team he left in the 19th position, was runner up next year, and CHAMPION the following).
