    stew i have been swimming my whole life and would say i am very comfortable in the water but for some reason it seems to be impossible to keep water from flooding my nose.

      Place your tongue on the top of your mouth (back of mouth / top of throat). To see if it will work - inhale. If you can take in air you are not doing it right. YOu should not be able to inhale with this position in your mouth.

    Dunno if you'll see this, but thanks for the work that you do! And as a female lifeguard, I use your vids to mix it up in the pool and for fitness - so thanks for that as well!

      Joshua Leemon first of all, what kind of question is that? Are you trying to just work legs, or what? just do a fucking buddy tow lol..make a fucking friend and do it. Practice how you play

    @stewsmith I saw you said putting your tounge on the roof of your mask helps with keeping water out of the nose, would this help when doing over unders and/or breath holds with a charged mask? If not what are some other techniques to stay calm with a charged mask

    Do you take the PST while you're in the Navy? Or before you enlist?

    • @StewSmith182

      Several times before you go to bootcamp and several times during / after. But you have to enlist into the delayed entry program before you take the PST officially.

    Also, does the Navy allow medical wavers if you plan to be a SEAL?

    • @StewSmith182
      @StewSmith182  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes - but it also depends...

      Well, I do not currently have asthma, but I did in the past. I understand that a waiver is not allowed if I've had it passed the age of 12 but I'm not 100% sure when the last time it was documented.

    1:59 wtf correct his form, never put arm around neck, put arm under armpit over chest

    • @StewSmith182
      @StewSmith182  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not this style. At BUDS you go over the shoulder across the chest and into the arm pit. At SEAL training you are rescuing an instructor who is fighting you the entire way. No one is choking this method. It is not the normal lifeguard method.
