i loved the Silent Hill show because it reminded me of a time when JP companies tried their best to appeal to western audiences and only succeeded a fraction of the time because JP media wasn't "cool" yet. not quite Konami 2010 level, but not quite 'modern' either the translator being labeled "Professional Horror Gamer" was icing on the cake

Feedback: from the perspective of a viewer of your non-stream videos i would say that this video both met my expectations and in some instances exceeded them. Your delivery of takes with a comical twist deliverd a moderate amount of gaming news but mostly some clever jokes that set me in a good mood. Felt like a appropriate length, thanks for sharing.

RE4 Remake was something expected for a long time and it was already scheduled to come out, SH2 Remake was a surprise because no one expected a live from Konami talking about the remake, the movie and 3 more games

But Silent Hill, broadly, as a franchise, introduced the world to psychological horror games. Team Silent set the golden standard for them in the first four games, albeit, predominantly in the second.
That face fall Silent Hill games looks way scarier than all the PT / SH rip offs Capcom made. I'll give Konami that they're actually making a creepy horror game.
What I remembered from the Silent Hill presentation: at least a dozen new games, zero gamemeplay shown, and some of them I didn't even understand what they were. Still, the visuals from the one in the Japanese town looks pretty cool.

I have lived Resident Evil since the beginning as well, but they've continually had growing and expanded content. For me, after spending years off and on checking for any info of a new Silent Hill, this is huge. Then, came the disappointment... It isn't available for PS4 and I can't afford a PS5 yet.
Even in this new season of delayed input, I still find the car horn bit funny, as it's a constant reminder of your commitment to not resorting to Shrek
I don't trust people with a single piece of glitter on their lip. What have they been doing? We don't know, but we know that it's absolutely disgusting.
I don't see how RE outshone SH. They had gameplay for RE4, sure, but that's really all they had. Everything else was stuff we already knew about with minor updates. Their presentational style was a little slicker, I guess, but not by so much that it makes up for wasting time. As far as actual content goes, the SH's presentation blows the other out of the water in my eyes. They actually had enough to talk about to justify having a dedicated presentation.
Something that did strike me as odd during the Silent Hill stream was that they used words like transmission and later during the merch showcase the presenter calls the stream a distribution. Both which are closer to the literal translation of the japanese word for a stream(配信). It is as if the presenter, even though she seems to be fluent in speaking English, is reading from a slightly touched up machine translated script. Overall I did really enjoy the production of the stream the fog and scene transitions and the fake banter was wonderfully silly and I enjoyed it. Best for me was when Masahiro Ito called Poland Samui Poland, ie Cold Poland. Like that is the country's defining characteristic :D I do not mean to take away from that.

Like, just because two vaguely similar things exist, they have to “fight it out?” I GUARANTEE you that everyone watched both streams. Nobody picked one over the other. And almost all of those people want both games to be good. But more than that, they want a chicken fight. And that just sucks.
Yes, I believe that is what's widely known as "Competition." It's what game companies like Konami and Capcom have been doing since their inception. It's why gaming communities are allowed to grow and thrive. It's the reason why one showcase was presented on a Wednesday and the other on a Thursday. It's what powers the need to be innovative. And (if done successfully) can be a lot of fun and make people lots of money. Long live the gamer/nerd🍻
I think Konami’s showcase was more interesting at the end of the day. It’s been almost a decade since we’ve gotten anything for silent hill besides some appearances in other unrelated games like DBD. To me it was over shadowed more by people’s dislike of Bloober teams involvement with SH2R. Though I get peoples worries I still have hope for the franchise. For the RE showcase I was kinda bored. I was only there for RE4 and yeah it looks nice, but it wasn’t that much of a shocker. Its things I’ve already scene in the original and lots of Leon’s face. To me the Silent Hill showcase was an important moment. It’s a series returning with multiples projects and new ideas with lots of Indie dev involvement. That just seems special and a chance for new talent to reach the survival horror audiences. So in short I disagree.
Hard disagree as someone who played RE4 VR, the new game did nothing for me. But I'm ecstatic for a Japanese-themed Silent Hill with flower-clickers, and the SH2 remake looks good.
