This pack is a assortment of unfinished pieced and a variety of species. This is great wood for small crafts and boxes,. Here are a few of the woods I recived; Costa Rican Mahogany, Mango, granadillo, teak, spanish, goncalo, alves, monkeypod and mango. Amazing wood for a woodworker! #woodworking #exoticwood #woodworking

Thorougly enjoy all your videos and would like to see one where you plane the wood. Have a great rest of your week. Ms "Sam" in TN
Nice haul. The Costa Rican Mahogany looks like SPALTED WOOD to me.
It does!
I have never seen Costa Rican Mahogany before, but it is a truly lovely wood. Thanks for showing a few finished pieces.
I'm so glad I live 10 minutes from a hardwood store that sells all kinds of exotic wood for woodworking!
Now I am envious! You are thankful. God bless.
Love your unboxing videos!!!
I love the Costa Rican Mahogany best! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you for this! There are no wood supply stores near me, so this is awesome. I’ll definitely be ordering some through your link 🙏
Thank you for the demonstration.
My pleasure!
Awesome video sky!!!
Thanks!!
That was great. I think I enjoy the unboxing videos the most. Thanks for all you do.
Glad you like them!
Hey Skyler! You are awesome and thank you for the video :) I am happy to watch you for hours and am now thinking of getting a laser cutter LOL
Very beautiful wood, should make very nice projects!
I think so too!
Thank you for showing what the wood looks like with some finish on it. As you said, not too impressive in rough form, but gorgeous with some work
Really appreciate the info on the different types of wood. I have tried many of the exotics and found them to be good to not so good when it comes to cutting and milling. Koa, Chechin, Honduran mahogany, Sapele, and Olive all work/mill very well. Mango and Mangrove I found to be very fuzzy when cutting. There are many I haven't tried. Something I noticed when sanding some of the exotics was an allergic reaction. Even with a dust mask on! My eyes itched and it took a couple days to settle down. Be careful!!
I am really impressed with these offcuts. Many beautiful pieces. Curious about how the end grain looks as I do a lot of end grain projects. Thanks for posting this video!
Thank you for really going over the top in showing us the fine values in and the great value of this purchase. Sharing your fantastic find. I read some reviews. By and large, most buyers thought it was a good deal. Shipping included. I have no experience in this, Skylar. But you've bought twice, and think it's a good deal and that's why you shared it with us. Is that correct? Thank you and God bless you.
I tune in for the beautiful scenery! Another great looking video...
Glad you enjoyed it
Is interesting to see how those different woods look, from rough to a finish state. Thanks
I'm curious as to how you mill these shorter pieces that you get. They seem to short to joint/plane down.
Are you just using the shorter lengths for boxes, inlays and maybe small lathe turnings?
Coming soon!
Do you find the kiln dried wood brittle?
What is the difference between Luan and Mahogany?
The costa rican mahogany looks like it is spalted.
looks like spalted Tamarind
Ouch, $50 plus $46 shipping (no prime free delivery). That's a pricey box.
Hi Skyler, it's Grover. I have a question, on your home page in the community folder there is a breathtaking black and white photo of you, when was that photo taken ?
Of the samples held up the Costa Rican Mahogany was the most interesting and my personal favorite
His shipping costs equal or exceed the box price!
Yes, very pricy for shipping
Read the reviews many think it worthwhile. Shipping included. Right? I mean if you read the reviews!! Why do people who have paid the shipping still think a good, worthwhile deal. And you might ask yourself. God bless
This guy ships from Hawaii, so the cost is not that bad.
@@thomasbuchheister2350 Think about that for minute. If you lived in Hawaii shipping costs would be like that for trash. So you want some cheese with that wine?
Be careful-this Amazon seller charges way too much for shipping-so look to double the price.
Yes, shipping just as expensive as the wood
Yes they're charging too little for the wood!! It makes that shipping look so expensive. They'll see price and shipping when they follow the link. If you take time to read the reviews, they are predominantly happy, shipping and all for the quality of the wood. That is what counts. A couple of reviewers state, when the math is done for shipping, per quantity and quality, the shipping price is better than some of their competitors. Tell you what you want: Someone who sweeps up their shop floor, puts in a box as exotic offcuts for twenty-five dollars and $15.00 shipping so you can brag to your friends about your low shipping costs. Maybe if and when you get some understanding and experience your viewpoint will change. Anyway go look those gift horses in the mouth. Good day. God bless.
@@flashwashington2735 Ever heard of Prime? And no there is no God-you never met them either
Have you ever just couldn’t keep your hands off and start working on a piece you’ve unboxed.
In high school, but she slapped my face and that was the end of it.
Great rack!
Dude, grow up!
