i remember listening to this exact song during 2019 summer going around down town at my city and just seeing all the life pre covid... i dont mean to be cliche but i fucking hate but also accept how i didnt take the chance to really break the ice with anyone regardless of how intimidating it may have been, because god the fucking *way* this song matched perfectly aesthetically with just the entire warmth of that day... i dont think ill ever forget it, not even as like a sad memory either, just good ol potent nostalgia doin its thing makin me feel

Me too, and i've heard it but it's no where near as good as this. Plus the instrumental bits have a much more daft-punk type vibe and not a studio-killers vibe so that kinda throws it off too
@@whinkx oh my gosh since the time I made this comment I heard the new version, I'd rather call it, the 'cover' version, and wow yeah it sucked. It wasn't necessarily horrible on its own, but it felt very generic. It took away everything that made the original so unique. And its simply not as good. Why have the autotune when Cherry's voice was able to hit the notes so cleanly. Really, ruined a good song. Would have been perfectly fine if the guy just made it a cover instead of buying the rights.

The singer has a talent of being able to do both male and female voices. And even if they were trans, that wouldn't matter! The song is amazing regardless of the singers gender ^^
