Yeah it's funny here like that. It's only packed on the weekends and during events

Both. Many office and warehouses have been rehabbed into residential.

Kansas City has the infrastructure of a huge City....many buildings...but what you're seeing is the result of the Suburban sprawl that affected Cities like KC....the empty parts of downtown are spots waiting to be redeveloped...they are in fact, old spots that used to be dense parts...that was, until they started building the highway system that cut down a lot of our urban density and helped grow the suburbs smh

Everyone is in Johnson county Kansas, that’s where all the jobs and wealth have gone, there’s not much activity around downtown.

The Interstate system took a lot of historical building and character away as well as white flight, then 80-2000's crime was terrible downtown. It's getting better and more "gentrified" today but still many blacks live downtown. There's an above average percentage of them here and crime is high as well. Which makes everyone a little scared to go outside.

Some commented it looks dead. The brothers are over on Troost and Prospect killing each other.

The high paying jobs and wealth have gone to Johnson county Kansas in the southwestern corner of the area

This guy is a troll and a clown he must live in Johnson County and never leaves. Johnson County always had wealth but the Missouri side has plenty of money as well. Lee's Summit Liberty.... Platte Country South KC etc.
What he never tells you is the zoo ...liberty memorial, art museum stadiums jazz district,Plaza Westport etc.... ALL of the cities cultural hi points are on the Missouri side.
