Literally picked up the fx30 today! I'm excited for the upgrade from the A7iii
I have FX30 it’s my A camera I use it a lot for my corporate work I absolutely love it.
Glad you’re feeling better!
Got the same FX30 setup as my b-cam to the FX6. Glad someone is using hardwired lavs. I’ve got Countryman B3’s as my hardwired solution. Good to see you using older gear to its full potential. Doing the same in Alpine this weekend with shooting raw test footage on my C200. Looking forward to your upcoming vlogs. Stay healthy.
How does the FX30 hold up as your b-cam compared to the FX3? Do you think the money saved going with the FX30 is worth it? Looking into b-cams for my FX6 as well
@@filmcre8or433 I think it depends on the lenses you already have too . Sure you can put FF on the fx30 , but it's going to get confusing . I got an fx3 as b / gimbal cam for my fx9, as I only had FF lenses .
Love my FX30
Would not trade the sdi and nd's of my fs7 & fx6 for nothing less, but thad said, the right tool for the right job. Got an Fx30 for those moments when a small cam hand held, where a small and discrete package is needed. P.s. That Tram is a hidden jam for anyone!
Gotta love media embargos. At least they let you share it later!
That hit of the flu sounds rough 😬
Nice adaption using the gimbal as a PTZ. It is hard to find/make a custom zoom ring that wont slip. Photo lens zooms tightness takes a lot more force compared to a broadcast lens.
❤ Dang was hoping someone would have spilled the beans.
There's the greatest bull rider in the world, Dale Brisby!
Haha yup. I’ve had the opportunity to work with him and JB multiple times.
The softness of movement to settle on the Ronin is "easing" - just in case it was doing your head to recall haha ;-)
Interesting that you don't have the Sony UWP system. It makes life easier since you can just plug wirelessly via the electronic hotshoe.
Someday maybe, most of the interviews I do are XLR due to RF issues, this one in particular is downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica, an RF nightmare.
In combat cages, I see productions place cam ops at 90° from each other instead of 180 to circumvent the rare occasion that both mirror sides can’t see the action.
Looking forward to the vlogs about your new project.
@@davidmorefield that makes sense. Thanks.

Hey David, I love what you did for the broadcast for Ohana! I was wondering, could I potentially pay you for some of your time to hop on a call or meet up so I can ask you some questions about broadcast setups? My pastor is asking me for help with coming up with a setup for our church’s live stream/broadcast and this is one area of video that I’m completely lost in.
If you don’t have time, or don’t want to, I completely understand! Regardless, I appreciate your videos and thank you for even reading my comment!
Sure... send me a text 818 613 4830
@ thank you! just sent you a text
what is that mic?
Tram and Mk-012
como é bom ter dinheiro neh nego.... o negocio fica parado na mesa.... enquanto eu SONHO em uma dessa!
third party batteries = no battery remain bar after firmware update
Why did you go for FX30 instead of FX3? All your e-mount glass covers FF
@@RVRx cost for specific application.
I was asking myself the exact same question. Fx3 would make more sense if you work with the Burano..
@@CrankyCameraman they just issued a 200$ off sale for the fx3 and 30. So you might be able to get some cash back if you missed out!
