This is day 158 of my journey to get to a rating of 2000 on chess.com.
In this game we play a Jobava London and get into trouble early on, but manage to put up a great fight...

A tip for time management if you need it, try to think of plans while your opponent is thinking, so when its your turn, you spend little time. Hope that can help!

At 11:08 count how many steps the black pawn has to take to promote and make a square 4x4, if the king is inside the square you will always make it. Great vid btw 💪💪💪. Now i look back chasing that pawn would be bad idea.
Yeah, I know the square rule, just this one was slightly more awkward with the bishop looking at me

This is very interesting to see my game with your comment (and a little funny too), I missed this nice mat, I feel I played too fast and it was sometimes not good, for the pawn with a check I see it just after, congratulation too may be you could win again even without your bishop, but your main issue at the end was the time. No doubt you will be very soon at 1700 and more. Wishing you to have your goal.

Tough luck on that one. Pretty solid being able to withstand losing your bishop right out of the gate. What is your pre-match routine?
Thanks, yeah.. I need to not blunder it though haha, my pre match routine is roll out of bed, drink a coffee, and fire up the computer!
@@Blunder_Man I try to do at least a dozen or so puzzles to get my noggin into chess mode before my first match of the day. Sometimes I like to watch a chess video first also. Really helps me see the board better.

today i played my best match of all time bro , im 900 elo , not that good im new to chess , but i had 2 brilliant moves back to back for a checkmate with 90% accuracy , the bot gave me rating of 1800 saying i completely out played my opponent , i was thinking many moves ahead , enjoyed it alot hopefully it goes on
That's AMAZING bro!! Don't worry about the thing that chesscom says with the rating it gives you, if I played that same game it would give me 2400, it does that based off of your current rating. You played like a GM! Well done haha

Being told i played like 1800 a month into starting to play chess is unreal , tho i do alot of blonders alot of the times 🤣 im noticing that my biggest weakness is time , in 30 mins or 15 mins w 10 seconds extra matches im much better than 10 mins or 5 , most of the time in those i win , seeing moves ahead takes time but it pays off most of the time , tho i should work on thinking fast too i wint play 30 mins games all the time
