Our hot water pressure has been getting worse for a long time, and we were ready to find a plumber but they projected the cost would be around $400. So we went looking on TH-cam and found your video. Bingo!! Unknown to us, we were having the exact same problem, and now we have proper water pressure again!! Thank you for taking the time to share your findings. Very ,much appreciated.
My problem was clogging of the outlet hose, not the outlet opening itself, but I never woruld have figured that out without this video. Doing what you did revealed the problem right away. You're the man.
Thanks dude! There have been three different plumber's here that we're just baffled and gave up. This is just what I expected. Hope mine isn't as bad as yours, that looked horrible. Great video! Thanks! Maybe now my landlord will understand. 👍👍😁
Thank you Tiger P! This was the exact problem I had, after watching your video I fixed the issue in about 20 minutes. Hot water pressure is back to normal.
That it was. Thank you. Input and output were both blocked directly at the wrench. So I can use the boiler some years longer. It is from 1991. Heated by natural gas. I changed the magnesium anode rod every 4 years.
thanks for the tip.total fixed it.the only thing some other people might find as well,my clog was further down.i was lucky to have a 16in 3/8 drill bit.clog was hard as a rock.
Great job, thank you for the insight. I'm dealing the same issue, I believe. How did you know it was on the hot water valve vs. the cold water valve or was it a lucky guess?
Always turn hot water tab first then let the cold water mixed with hot water, when want to off the tab then go reverse, close Cold water first followed by hot water. This way you protect the air bubbles in the pipe during mixing process
And those are dielectric unions, the whole porpoise of them is for this not to happen, they were seriously defective or something, i seen tanks 10-15 yo with out them and was nowhere close to be this rusted… weird
@@tigerp972 like I did this and there wasn’t any blockage on the hot side, but when I put it back together, the hot water pressure was lower than before. What should my next step be?
My wife just phoned the plumber... I tried... the hot water pressure is really high now lol... how would one lower it? Because it hurts to take showers now. Lmfao geez eh?
When you drill out the rust, what happens to the sediment? Are you worried about the rust causing a blockage through the pipeline? I assume you had to drill the rust into your water tank. Also can we get an update on how your hot water pressure system and tank are doing now?

I had the same problem. This video saved me a couple of hundred dollars. Thank you very much !! 👍😁

You save me from losing my mind!! Many thanks!!!
You're a very good man thank you very much your video showed me everything to fix my slow hot water flow .

Thank you so much for this video. We were able to repair our slow hot water pressure problem by following your steps. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you my man! That was exactly the problem for me and it worked like a charm. I can finally have a high pressure shower again!
Bedankt,van 0.8bar naar 1.5 bar!!Probleem opgelost!!Thanks!!
Holly crap 😱.... That was a lot of rust man....thanks for the info, good job 👍👍👍👳

Just guessed that blockage might be at outlet.
This was my exact problem! Thank you, saved me so much trouble!!!
Going to look at this tomorrow. Did the low pressure also make the water out of the faucets not very hot?

Good Video, Dude! I wouldn’t have ever thought about that! Thanks A Lot🌟✌🏾
Thank you from Florida!
If the hot water pressure is low in the bathroom sink and shower but not the kitchen, would that be a piping issue?
could relieve the pressure by flipping the pressure relief valve open that's why it's there
I have good pressure put of the cold side but the hot side is just a trickle. Would this same thing work to fix that?
Probably
Thats literally what he just fixed in the video 🤦♂️

Thank you soooooo much this was the issue
Nicely done. Thank you sir
Thank you for let me know
Muchas gracias!
Thank you very much good video 👍👍
After drilling would you normally drain tank?
Let the rust settle and open the drain to empty 10 percent of water from tank and its all good.
THANKS!
Thanks!!
I just did this and my pressure is lower than before, did I miss something?
If the cold water pressure is good, than hot water pressure should be same as cold water after any possible blockage is removed.

Drilled rust just falls in the tank, I dont drink that water and it will settle at the bottom.
