I have a 1971 f100 sport custom and it came with a 302 auto and I put it back together very close to how it came off the dealer lot in 71 and couldn't be more happy for a daily driver
@habitmoto white and yellow I have a fmx in it now and had a custom one piece drive shaft made but this transmission is junk found another one that has been sitting on a shelf for 40 years going to try that and hopefully It works got a idea on using different ford hood hinges from other ford truck and won't have to use spots on inner fenders anymore
Beautiful survivor! I have a '68 with a 427 stroker - it's a blast. C6 Three-speed auto, and all bright red. Like yours, a short-bed and was a one-family truck until I bought it last year. Put a V8 in it - while a 6 is fine, there's something proper about a V8 in an old truck. I'm amazed at how much years of crud end up protecting the finish. Can't wait to see what you do with it!
That does sound like fun! That is the directed I’m leaning with this one. Some sort of V8 with a C6 behind it. Should make for a fun ride. Yeah, I was surprised by how well the paint was preserved.

That’s sounds awesome. I would prefer to swap this one to an auto. Would make for an easy cruiser. Thanks for the response! What color is yours?
