How To Install 7 Way Plug & Junction Box. Picket up another trailer and sure enough, the end was giving me trouble, so I put a new 7 Way plug and junction box on it, just like the other trailers, and it works great.

Great video! Love how you stressed how the colors don't matter and only the pin location. So many (self included) get tripped up by following color codes. Especially with more than one wiring standard. I saw how one guy used a label maker and marked each terminal with the corresponding function on the trailer so that, in a pinch, you can quickly see where that wire goes on the trailer while wiring it up or converting to a different wiring standard if the need ever arises. Every trailer I've owned over 60 years has come from the manufacturer with garbage wiring. Those scotch connectors should be illegal! But I digress. lol
What was your reason for mounting the box on the outside of the frame where it is so much more susceptible to being damaged. Was it just for the ease of installation and convenience? Or was there another reason? I always mount mine inside the frame or under the bed to get the box out of the way of everything. It's not nearly as convenient as your choice but I just know that shortly after I mounted mine there, I'd want to install a WDH or something and my box would be in the way or somehow get damaged - lol.
