Thank you for playing scientist for us! I lucked out at hobby lobby yesterday and actually found both those gels on clearance so I will definitely mix some up. Also I am jealous of your husky cabinets, that’s my dream storage 🥰

Nice studio. Where is my water and ice window? Thank you for showing me pigment mixing.
I have 2 Canadian grandchildren. They came home with their parents at 11 and 12 years old. Sienna was sent to a posh boarding school and she has zero filter on her mouth. She is fluent in French and English. Her first day at school she was told to stand up in class and say good morning and how are you in French. She did it perfectly but she added on the end. The three morons in the front row will never know what I just said. 😳 The French teacher knew. At the end of the first year her Mother got called in by 5 teachers and the Principal. 😂❤️

I love your new studio! I ordered a couple new cabinets today, they were pretty cheap! They will be either made of crap or I’ll never get them! Time will tell!
I will order the gels and give them a try! I washed my glass jars, I store paint in, in the dishwasher! I hope it wrecks it! Great canvas! Love the colors! 🌹🌹🌹

The PPG website will tell you the differences in the different countries Floetrol. Aussie is based of the American, but it changes with the local resins available and the country’s restrictions on local VOC’s. So Aussie Floetrol is truly magic.

That's fabulous...!!! A little tip...check to see if your pigments are water soluble. I've had a lot of luck "blooming" my pigments in a few drops of distilled water. I make mine to a med body consistency. Mixes well with the recipe you use. This only works with water souble pigments.

Sorry, another suggestion about PPD’s. Wear dark gloves and a dark mask then you’ll be able to, and be amazed as I was, to see where all the teeny pigment particles end up. And they are not dissolvable, they make suspensions. So where ever those particles end up, i. e. lungs, airways, etc., they stick and stay. Just saying

Thanks so much for sharing your recipe for a bloomie CA! I only have gloss gels and hate to spring for the matte gel just to experiment. Did it not work for cells without the matte?

Hi Lisa, I was just wondering if it was absolutely necessary to use half matte and half gloss gel for the shiny piggy's? I don't normally buy matte gel, but I always have the gloss gel on hand. What's the difference? The bloom is beautiful by the way!

Do you have any tips for reopening the Liquitex gloss gel? I used it for something else one time , and I for the life of me get I cannot get it opened! it's pretty pricey so I'm resorting cutting the bottom and putting it in a different type of container.

They can be stored in an airtight container for a while! I wouldn’t more than a month, but it’s possible!

Hey there Lisa! Is it 1/2 tsp Heavy matte gel or super heavy matte gel? I can’t
Find a “heavy matte” exactly on Liquitex website?
BTW - I absolutely love your personality and watching your videos and learning from all of your vast knowledge. Thank you so much for taking the time to share!!
