    I love Molly's creations all the time, but Kanella to me is the Dutch pour queen. 👑 Not blowing the base over allows for bolder, brighter colors, my preference. 🌈 Lee, yours looks like a nebula for sure. 🌌 Beautiful!! I wonder if the black swallowing the colors may be due to the newer version of the base paint. Kanella found that the more recent vintage does that. Jeremy, yours turned out amazing!! The colors really pop! 👏 And if Mina can use a leaf blower on her dutch pours, you can too!! 😉😂

    Firstly, I was a little peeved, that a comment made by someone , had you blowing the black over your beautiful colours, Lee. I would love for that person to say that to Kanella Ciraca 🤣. I’m pretty sure, they would never say it again, to anybody. Your colours on the black base were stunning. Please do that Dutch pour again, your way, and post it 🙏♥️. Love your videos. They are clear and easy to follow. So glad I found this one on pigments. Just a couple of questions. 1. There are so many types of masks. Do you use something like a Kn95 or are you using a respirator? 2. Can I substitute another type of varnish to wet the pigment? Such as Minwax Polycrylic? There are so many different recipes, I am trying to use products I already have. Thank you again! I am a loyal follower.

    • @MasseArtStudio

      Hi Brenda! You can totally use a Kn95 mask. You just need something to stop you from breathing in any mica. I would use the varnish we talked about being it was what we were taught with! Hope this helps.

    Bonjour.

    What is the difference between pigments and mica?

    • @MasseArtStudio
      @MasseArtStudio  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pigments have a matte finish, whereas mica adds color along with a natural shimmer.

    I didnt know why there was a difference between pigments and Mica??

    • @MasseArtStudio
      @MasseArtStudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The key difference between mica and pigment is that mica powder is shiny and gives a metallic or sparkling pearl-like effect, whereas pigment powder has a matte finish.

    I don't want to be critical because I appreciate you showing how to mixture pigments. However, I have to say putting your black base over your colors just buried the colour's; where the white base did not do that bury. Both are nice pieces, but hands down the white base is prettier to look at its composition is stunning. Thanks again for the lesson.
